What I'm confused about is that the ITK imply there is a deadline but it hasn't quite yet passed.

Why is the deadline this late in the window? It is relatively late. Does it benefit us somehow and I've missed the logic? I can't see it.

It's all getting ominously familiar isn't it?

All the promise of a couple of two or three weeks ago is slowly evaporating and people are starting to, quite rightly become concerned as to incomings.

I would imagine one of the reasons for some of the delay in getting players in is that the clubs we're talking to are stalling somewhat whilst watching and waiting to see how much we get for Harry Kane and then they'll adjust their positions accordingly.

I really hope there's a deadline on this because if there isn't, we could end up just like most other transfer windows, promises of gold but ending up with nuggets of goatshit.

I genuinely think before this summer that most on here had learned not to get too excited by the early summer positive noises from media and itk but with appointment of Paratici and the very upbeat tone from ITK's the lessons from last number of years got forgotten.
I will be avoiding the ITK thread on last day if we don't sign the 3/4 players that are being bandied about because that thread will be absolute toxic.

ITK said Friday deadline so they've got until end of play tomorrow then 0 chance if it's to be believed

Would make sense as to my point above also, that we then need those 7 to 10 days to concluded our lined up deals with all the paper work that will need doing.

Lol.... Brinkmanship. I'm honestly starting to think they are getting their info from Charlie Kane.

Tic toc, tic toc.
Think he meant Brickmanship, as Charlie is clearly cut from the same cloth as Brick from Anchorman.

My baseline is always expect nuggets of goatshit that way I am never disappointed.
I like nuggets of goatshit, far healthier than kebabs! Best roasted though.
On a serious note, have faith in the new god of THFC, FP, as he will pull something out of the hell of transfer endurance and amaze us all. I hope.

Stop winding up the punters. They do that just fine without your blue background. ?

I've prepared a contract for Megan Fox to sign, it's only a matter of time.

Similar to what i was thinking, surely that stuff is done all the time. Its not Kane you need to agree with you bellends.

It really is starting to seem as though they have just had the impression the whole time that we would fold, now we havent they are all a bit confused. Bless them.

I can really see him staying now and I dont know how i feel about that

This Kane's transfer saga reminds me of that rabid dog laying on your bed and not giving you a place to sleep. And you can do nothing in that situation. Nevermind, it's just a russian phrase :joyful:
I feel more pessimistic each day about our transfers. I think we don't have money.
And it's either Kane eventually goes and we will have money but won't have enough time to buy good replacements considering the teams will not sell their stars at the end of the window or Kane will stay and we will have an unsettled player who will affect the dressing room atmosphere and the fans.
And I can't blame Paratici in this situation. The fact that he has managed to bring Romero is already a miracle.
It's just an extremely awkward and unlucky situation for Spurs (as usual). Recent behaviour of **** made everything even fucking worse

Having agreed to terms implies that Kane was given permission to speak with them, because if that's inaccurate and he hasn't...

edit: yes I know it happens all the time using third parties

Not seen anything from other players not playing congratulating the team also.

No, because they were at the stadium, sat not too far from the substitutes, cheering their teammates on while the gutless **** hid away like the cowardly **** that he's shown himself to be.

In addition to selling teams waiting to see how much money we have in our pockets thanks to Kane, many selling teams are probably selling not so much to fund their own incomings, but to pay the bills. So it makes sense for them to wait until the end of the transfer window to wring as much money as possible.

This is probably why there haven't been many significant incoming transfers for any of the top PL teams:

Man City - Grealish
Man U - Sancho and Varane
Chelsea - Lukaku
Arsenal - Ben White
Liverpool - Konate
Leicester - Daka
Aston Villa -- Ings, Bailey, and Buendia (thanks to the Grealish money).

Compared to that, we picked up a top CB in Romero, plus Gill and Gollini, so i am telling myself we are keeping pace.

If Kane goes, we will be paying a ‘Kane’ tax for a new striker. We CANNOT leave ourselves short.

I think we had ITK that suggested that there's an equal chance that we'll attract some great bargains, as some teams will be forthcoming as they'll want some of our windfall. Unique situation now most of the european clubs are brassic.

Surely we see something concrete in the media ASAP if this is to happen.
