Regardless of how you feel about this situation. This reflects so poorly on the ownership. player signed a new deal, said he would stay at Spurs aslong as they kept going in the right direction and now he's desperate to leave. Once in a lifetime talent in the youth ranks. You manage to build an incredible team and we managed to blow it. We blew the position we got that team into, we blew the gift of this player in the youth ranks and it doesn't matter if we got close in a few finals and semi finals and managers made bad decisions, fact is we didn't win anything so therefore we blew and it reflects badly on the club that our star man who loves the club feels he has to leave in order to be successful.

I'm starting to get to the point of just accepting we blew it with that team and just thinking fuck it let's go all out on a rebuild but no matter what this isn't a good look for the owners, especially when trying to convince these companies to agree to this gigantic naming rights deal we seem to think we're still going to get for 25 mill a year. I'd be amazed if we get that after all the decisions of the past 2 years and I think Kane is a further blow to that.

He’s getting paid a shit tonne and more than anyone who wants to be comfortable needs! He can never call himself one of us if he wants to leave for another English club, knowing it will break so many fans hearts.

he is a player not a fan. It is his job. Personally I wish him the best wherever he goes and will look out for his records as he has given more to this club than anyone I have seen play here. Much like when bale left we simply couldn’t give him the team he deserves to play in. I would be disappointed with anyone in the uk except city as they are a team he would win with, they need a striker and he will get shearers record. Outside England there is lewendowskis place at Bayern but that is a year away from coming up for grabs, PSG but I don’t know if that is ambitious enough for him given the league and the two Spanish clubs. Barca not really his style and Real the obvious choice there. I’m sure their money issues are only an issue when they don’t have a marquee to sign. Haaland is the fly in the ointment for Harry but I can see him at Madrid and Harry at city and Spurs in mid table where we will deserve to be after throwing away a generation of talent in the past 5 years

Has this thread really exploded tonight off the back of a quoteless and unsubstantiated report from the very station this entire site, almost in unison, routinely accuses of having an agenda against us and of talking out of their arse with no reference to facts?

Get a grip you lot. Unless Kane or his agent outright confirms it, it’s almost definitely just a stab in the dark based on what they feel will generate the most attention.

Kane's agent is his brother (and his dad). This smacks of a leak to the place where *they think* it will get the most attention. The fact that the club has been so quick to issue a statement also tells me it has got legs. Doesn't mean he'll go, of course.

You’ve been in this game long enough to be able to distinguish paper gossip from the real deal - an agent briefing. This is the latter, sadly.

These things are usually leaked from somewhere. I don't think you seriously believe Sky has an active agenda against us and have, to that effect, fabricated a false story just to cause a shit storm on SC. There is probably some merit in this story.

There have never been stories like this in the past, and that's due to the fact that Kane's representatives have probably not leaked/forced moves through.
