7 games 6 goals 6 assists yet sky sports were claiming Calvert Lewin was playing better football than him earlier because Kane wasn't scoring many in the league….. and the only goal he got was in a rout of Southampton..... you mean the rout he caused by getting 4 assists?
To be fair DCL got another hattrick last night. He is on absolute fire in terms of goal scoring.

Think that’s his first hatrick in a long time, delighted as that’ll mean a lot to him.

First for us since end of 2017 the interviewer said last night. He's had 3 for England since then though. I think the end of 2017 was where he bagged a couple of hattricks (Southampton on Boxing Day rings a bell) to be the top scorer in the calendar year. Insane for a player like him but suppose there's been injuries and us not playing particularly great. Hopefully more to come this season.

This could be the season H goes to another level. With real pace alongside, quality in behind and Gareth Bale... he could truly explode into the Shearer / Sheringham hybrid. 20+ goals, 20+ assists in the league.

Harry was superb last night, his vision, his movement, his finishing. He is a special player, we are so lucky to have him.

His third goal was one of my favourite goals in a while, lovely quick one touch transitions and a cool finish to round it off.

Not many have mentioned this but I think having genuine competition for Harry will be a good things in terms of the level that Harry plays at, can see him going to an even higher level now due to the competition and also new players around him. This must be the first time he looks around at the squad in terms of other top top class players and mainly squad depth and thinks we could really win something with this group.

Yep will be fantastic to finally have genuine competition for him and of course also being able to manage his health / fitness better.

I have to respectfully disagree with this last bit. The club pays the player's wages so the club should be able to expect that the player will be available whenever he is needed. The national teams need to respect that these players are being paid millions by their clubs and shouldn't be running them into the ground. When you are talking about guys on Kane's level, they shouldn't play more than one match in these international breaks. That goes for other players like Sterling or KDB too. Obviously when you're talking Euros, World Cup, or Olympics happening during the offseason I feel differently, but this Nations League is a naked cash grab by UEFA and risking the health of the best players in Europe for a tournament that happens concurrent with the top leagues is professional malpractice in my opinion.

My gripe with international football (more so in the modern era) is it's an easy problem to solve and you greatly improve the product.

Uninterrupted domestic season, longer international season, organise an appropriate number of friendlies to whittle your squad down for whatever tournament (a larger standby list) have a very short break then play that tournament to conclusion; players go off for their holiday then return for domestic pre-season.

It'd mean managers get longer with squads, squads more in tune with each other, much better quality tournaments (or even switch certain tournaments into straight knockouts rather than overly long group phases.

The other thing I'd trial to liven up World Cup group stage games would be 3 points for a win, 2 points for score draws and 1 point for goalless draws. (controversial I know but better than most of FIFA's ideas)

Sorry I went down a rabbit hole there.

Not really a surprise its his first hattrick in a while as we've been so shockingly shit Kane has been lucky if he sees the ball 3 times in the oppositions goal area nevermind chance to score 3.
The improvement in our play, regardless of who is playing as well, in the last few weeks is staggering. Its like Doherty and Hojbjerg found their feet and with Bale signing everyone has just stepped up a few gears.
Certainly not boring the shit out of me now.
Bit disappointed to find out we're not playing tonight or tomorrow. Wtf right? ;)

We had similar rule during the communism in Bulgaria - 1 point for score draw and 0 points for goalless draw. It didnt work. 89 minute and 0-0 and 90 min the result is 1-1.

Kane was unbelievable. Yes Calvert Lewin and Ings are doing exceptionally well, but Kane is number 1. Surprised there's even a debate in the media. Kane looks like he's going to the next level under Jose

with Bale and Son beside him it’s going to be hard to stop his assists.

Yeah but he hates playing under Mourinho and should leave if he wants to play attacking football
