I was reading some of the comments, apparently people rated Newcastle’a players higher that Spurs’ in the Spurs v Newcastle match, obviously the votes are by kids and trolls so it’s a bit pointless.

Andros is being a loyal soldier, Lewandowski would score for fun anywhere.
I think Lewandowski is a great finisher and will score anywhere, however, he is helped by two factors, playing in Bayern and Bundesliga tends to be the highest scoring league out of the big 5, often by quite a margin.

Bundesliga (goals a game)Premier League
19/20: 3.21
18/19: 3.18
17/18: 2.79
16/17: 2.87
15/16; 2.83
14/15: 2.75
19/20: 2.72
18/19: 2.82
17/18 :2.69
16/17: 2.80
15/16: 2.70
14/15: 2.57

Every season since Lewandowski has been at Bayern the bundesliga has outscored the PL. Normally this is around .10-.20 points, which is only going to contribute a couple goals extra, but the last few seasons its been almost 0.50 which is an extra goal every other game, that really could add up.

Bayern themselves score crazy amounts of goals,

BayernTottenham
19/20: 2.94
18/19: 2.56
17/18: 2.71
16/17: 2.62
15/16: 2.35
14/15: 2.35
19/20: 1.61
18/19: 1.73
17/18: 1.95
16/17: 2.26
15/16: 1.82
14/15: 1.53
On average Bayern score between 0.5 - 1 goal more than us a game since Lewandowski has been at Bayern and Kane scoring for us. Obviously Lewandowski is a big part of Bayern's totals as well. But Clive Allen didn't score 49 goals in 52 games in 86/87 because a perfectly serviceable player miraculously transformed into Ronaldo (either one), it was because of Waddle, Hoddle and co. behind him.

It is worth mentioning that Kane has outscored Lewandowski (goals per game) twice in 14/15 and 16/17, and they had an equal record in 17/18.

So right now it stands at Kane: 2 Draw: 1 Lewandowski: 3. In pure goals per games though Lewandowski is way ahead.

Btw Kane's CL record of 24 games 20 goals (0.83 goals a game) vs Lewandowski's 65 games and 53 goals (0.82) is so close it's negligible. but Kane is actually ahead, and this includes Lewandowski's crazy 19/20 season.

In all honestly I think Lewandowski is the best finisher in the world, and the last season in particular he has exploded, though I reckon I could sneak a few goals in that bayern side, and he probably deserves all the international awards he should be receiving for his fantastic year. However, when taken as a whole, you can make an argument that Kane would score more goals in the PL, personally I'm not convinced by that, particularly if you take 18-19 - 19-20 Kane. But, it isn't a statement without merit.

My argument is Kane is not good enough anymore that we should be ignoring offers for him

People on this forum are caught up in nostalgia, we will never move forward like that, we need to be brave and sometimes that means letting go of an individual for the sake of the team

How ridiculous is it that the fans here are willing to put Kane before the club, but Kane won't put the club before his career?

Exactly - this critique of Harry isn't exclusive to this game tonight and I think it's perfectly legitimate to begin questioning the merits of his long term future here vs heavily reinvesting in a squad yearning for upheaval.

Would you sell? I would

With our finances I would sell him and Ndombele. Kane's stock is still high to get a decent price. There a few strikers who have more pace than who are more suited to the modern game.

We could use the funds to buy a replacement, a DM, CB and fullback.

If we get a big offer we must sell. It's becoming clearer and clearer by the day that all those injuries have taken their toll.

Falling into the same trap we fell into with Eriksen.

The same MO that helped progress us we've gotten away from.

If the offer is massive, I'd sell.

Players on pedestals in this day and age for a club of our standing isn't worth it.

The last one we had is currently enjoying the sun with a fine bank balance in Madrid.

Time to sell at the end of season. Invest in a fast and less injury prone player or two replace him. Strengthen in other areas. No brainer.

You're that desperate to become a meme aren't you.

Quit the stubbornness and take the L with good grace :D
Meme? L?

Depends if you want to be some manchild on the internet I suppose.

Make it a meme, and you can keep your L ... Better suited to you anyway ....

Good grief.

A BBC poll voting the 10 best strikers Harry Kane does not make it he is 12th .
I am wary of saying people dont know what they are watching when it comes to football but in this case I have to say that it is spurs hate or people just do not realise what they are watching when they voted . unbelievable .
On another note on cartilage free American tv viewers were saying the commentary was anti spurs in the extreme I won't go into details but you can guess just dont tell me there is not an anti spurs agenda because there clearly is and it is getting louder and wider .
Best Defensive record in the league... Not one defender on the list, No Hojbjerg on the list for CDM, Son is the only spurs player for any position. This will only help Jose's siege mentality..... They all hate us lets shove it up their noses.

Come on guys - everyone dislikes everyone. Take Liverscum, EVERYONE hates them but the reason theyre never on top of the list of worst hated or bottom of the list in terms of rankings is that their fans have nothing else better to do than to vote and skew things.

I know it makes fuck all difference but am I the only one pissed off that Kane didn't win Player of the Month?
Son was excellent, don't get me wrong, but Kane was better.

In fact, let me rephrase that. Am I the only one pissed off that Player of the Month is decided by us morons (fans)?

Not pissed off because Kane is the type to use this as a reason to find yet another way to elevate his game and shove it down peoples throats.

I think I'm just bitter because it would have put him level with Aguero on 7 wins.

Kane genuinely had one of the greatest ever monthly stat-lines in October, should've won it hands down. Glad Son got it if not him, though.

They should never have changed it to a public vote.

Also should have been shared between the two of them.

I was actually surprised as well as I would say son has been our third best player of the month behind Kane (who has been involved in more goals than anyone ever in the English league, first 7/8 games). Or something like that.

And also behind my number 2 choice PEH, who has been a revelation in that midfield. Not seen a player that good at reading the game defensively.

Son has of course been immense as well, not a bad word to say about him and in a normal month I would agree.

I would have voted Aubameyang. He's been great for Arsenal the last couple of months. Best striker in the league. I hope he keeps it up! (y)
