That pass to son cushioned itself and slowed down perfectly for him to take a touch and get a shot on goal. Hit hard, long and quick then slowed up for son to take a deliberate touch.

I made a half-joking comment about him turning into Glenn Hoddle after the Southampton game but someone nailed it on the match thread today. He's turning into Francesco Totti - a No.9 who's becoming an equally good No.10. This isn't a centre-forward 'holding it up', it's an outstanding goal-scorer turning into an outstanding goal-scorer and playmaker. And probably adding a couple of seasons to his career at the top of the game in the process.

He is becoming so good the day he leaves we will not be the same for a very very long time. So let's enjoy his time with us

Is there a better player in world football atm?
His game has gone to a whole new level, I have never witnessed a Spurs player have before

I can’t see Kane ever leaving tbh. Not because he’d necessarily want to stay but because I can’t see clubs ever paying what we want for him.

Given the fact he will be 28 next summer and has a long history of long-term injuries, I just do not see a club coming in with a bid of £150m. Not in this climate. Next summer I’d imagine the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Lautaro Martinez, potentially Victor Osimhen and EB Haaland will all move clubs and their age and potential resale will be way more appealing than Harry Kane.

The only way I see him going is if he either runs his contract down and refuses to renew, or leaves on a free transfer. Two things I couldn’t see him doing to his boyhood club.

Totti was a good player but he wasn’t a patch on Kane in terms of scoring goals and while he was very talented and effective he has nowhere near the physical side that Kane does.

He is the best striker in the world currently for me. Vision and awareness, with the passing to match. Scoring goals from anywhere, inside/outside the box, left or right foot and head.

However, he was one of the issues in the second half yesterday. I’m my opinion he was trying too much to score his hat trick or try quarter back passes still when we should have been smarter and kept the ball, slowed the pace down.

Is it just me that finds it worrying that Harry had to keep coming back to make defensive blocks in our penalty area

That one at the end of the first half was incredible. I was watching with foreign commentary and thought it was Toby until the half time whistle went. I didn't even see Kane get back!

Says wonderful things about Harry, ridiculously bad things about our defence!

He was playing in a much deeper role yesterday, it was obviously part of his role to track runners. Son and Bergwijn were left up top to run onto those sweet sweet long balls. When he got tired towards the end of the game we actually lost a bit of control in midfield. Him Ndombele and Hojbjerg were running the show until they got tired.

Kane is frighteningly good at the moment, genuinely think he’s probably top three or four in the world now, yesterday was frustrating but if he stays fit, boy oh boy do we have a chance of some trophies this year.

I love the guy so much but we have to make sure he's not taking too much of the workload. he always gets injured when he's in great form and covering every position on the pitch. At the moment it seems he's doing everything, everywhere.

Bergwijn, Lamela, Lucas etc have to start applying themselves because I'll tell you what... Son and Kane won't be able to do it all season

An idea that comes to my mind. When a game gets a bit scrappy and we need to defend a lot, how about putting Kane next to Hojbjerg for the last 10 minutes of a game? His allround game is so much better than our other midfield options and as soon as he is on the ball he could fire the ball up in the path of fresh wingers for the counter.

He is clearly hitting his prime and would be an absolute travesty if he doesnt win anything.

On a personal level, the only reason he wont leave is he wants that 260 goals record - that will be his legacy and given he may not win much with us except the title this season he will need to focus on personal achievements.
