We do say what some consider knee jerk reactions but if Kane gets sold to Man Utd when both teams (on the pitch) is equal then im definitley taking a backseat from spurs and football in general.
It's true utd are not as good as they were previously but before the season ended there were signs they were getting their shit together.
In fairness I think they would have beaten us at home simply because of their slight turn of form along with us not being able to win an argument.

200m to ease the financial loss from coronavirus and help pay the stadium off!?

Selling Harry Kane to Manchester Utd? We will see how much is lost in season ticket sales then.

Would be a fucking idiotic move.

Seems like all the talk is Manchester United.

Neil Ashton is their new media guys isn’t he. There’s going to be an awful lot of bullshit chucked about now. As always Man U sell media space 90% of stories involving them will be bollocks.

You know we're discussing something that isn't actually happening?

If you lot are going to panic every time a baseless rumour appears in one of the tabloids this is going to be a very very long summer-not-summer-transfer-window-not-transfer-window-no-football time. Literally nobody knows what situation any of the football clubs will be in, let alone if they can buy or sell a player for hundreds of millions.

Chill out, go outside, get some air, buy some margarine.

Why we discussing it then?
Because that's what we do. A journalist puts up a story regardless of truth in order to get people to click the link to generate funds for the publication through advertising.

A bunch of morons who still can't understand this then respond to transfer rumours as facts and those same morons then moan about the board based on something someone not connected to the football club has made up.

Then a few days later a similar story pops up about a different player and the same morons just go through the same old cycle again.

If these stories were true then we'd have sold Kane every transfer window for the last 7 years.

Agree but that shouldn't be enough to make kane want to join them. We may be declining and they are on the up but he shouldn't be swayed. Only Liverpool could genuine sway him

I agree & I for one would be questioning whether renewing my ST is something I should be doing when it's clear DL & there by ENIC have no real interest in building a team to challenge & their only interest is financial.

The only difference being that this summer I think there is actually a possibility that Harry may want to leave, we have had ITK to say as much.

I dont thinks its that out there to think there arent some truth in these rumours.

And if that moron dig is aimed at me that you can suck my danglies (y)

We don't know what Kane is thinking all of us are just second guessing, but let's face it utd have a better chance of getting back to winning ways than we do.
I suppose with the pandemic situation there will be deals available

Moron dig was not aimed at you, just a general observation on how some people respond to newspaper stories.

But your post did appear to suggest selling Kane could be done to help pay for the stadium. I believe this is false. If we sell Kane it's because he wants to leave. Nothing in Levy's and ENIC's history suggests we sell top players who want to stay because of the size of the bid. We have sold Carrick, Berbatov, Bale, Modric and Walker to top sides when the players wanted out. It is not unreasonable to believe at some point Kane might want to follow in their footsteps.

I think it's important we don't put too much importance in newspaper stories because their stories could hold some truth. Based on that I could start my own online publication and just write rumour stories based on plausibility. Its no way to obtain information.

I agree that it is plausible that Kane could want to leave. Few players stay at one club their entire career. Even Utd lost Ronaldo to Real Madrid. But I doubt Utd would be his destination. Surely he would want to join a club that is currently at the top given his age and desire for trophies and titles.

Your last sentence doesn't make any sense.

Don’t think there will be any significant transfers this summer. For any clubs.

Agreed

I can see quite a few loans with options to buy happening, but no club is going to be able to stump up the £200 million Kane is worth.

In the short team, this Corona virus epidemic has burst the bubble of high transfer fees and possibly high wages.

I don't doubt that Kane would prefer to win trophies at a club he has genuine affection for, but let's face it we have gone backwards and he might not have the time or desire to wait around and see if we are competitive again.
I think we are stepping stone club which is sandwiched between the big successful clubs and the rest, that player's come to and develop their game then once ready seek out the move which takes their careers on to win the big prizes.

Of course Levy won't spend this money for even 3-4 very good signings, right? :)))

I'm not sure you actually read my post. I said it is plausible Kane wants to leave to win trophies. I didn't say a single word about wanting him wanting to win trophies at a club he has affection for.

We are not a top club. We weren't before ENIC and we aren't now. If we have a genuine top player there is always the high possibility of them leaving at some point.

Everyone's gonna be in the same boat this summer but somehow we're gonna be the worst off, I see.
