I love this idea of Kane making it back, scoring the decisive goal and leading us to the Final and Top 4 in the league.

However the other, more likely, eventuality if we rush him back into the first team is a 5 minute spell on the pitch followed by a twist, reoccurrence of the injury and our key player up shit creek for many months.

As a fan I totally get the fairytale and I’m sure Kane would give a leg (or ankle!) to play in this game. However, we can’t as a club be led by emotionally driven ideas at the expense of the medical evidence.

If he’s fit enough to play, then fine. If there’s any element of risk to his long term fitness, it’s just not worth it.

without massive investment into the team the chances of us making a CL final are remote as we will never make that investment with our present owners,so if Harry has the remotest chance of making it we must take the risk.
To see both Son and Harry lining up against them will put the shits up them . So lets hope and pray H is fit enough to start because if he does we will beat them .

Absolute scenes if he makes it. Can you imagine the reaction if Poch's CL presser reveals that big H has pissed a late fatness test* and will be starting the game?

* In homage to Bob Wilson.

Fuck that. Why say anything in the presser? Teams don't have to be submitted until around an hour before the game. Don't say a bloody thing & then let Erik Ten Hag do a little poo when he gets the team sheet.

Says who?

If you think Harry wont play in the CL final, imo youre mistaken.

Equally if we need him and he is fit, to play in any of our remaining games then i believe he will.

Furthermore unless im mistaken he hasnt had an operation on his ankle so far which was being talked about the other week. Unlike Winks who has already gone under the knife.

Why hasnt he had an op? What are we waiting for?

Jesus perez says. In Monday's presser. Was replying to a poster saying he might be back for 2nd leg.

I agree, there is no doubt he'd be involved if we got to the final

We’ve invested 100s of £m in a state of the art training ground and state of the art stadium. Let’s see what happens in the next couple of transfer windows now the project is delivered. I’m giving Levy a pass after seeing us play in the new stadium.

They are both fixed assets increasing the capital value of the club for resale purposes which is ENICs game plan. Players are wasting assets that do not increase the resale value of the club. Would like to think massive team investment will come but with nearly£700 million debt overhanging us I have my doubts, until new owners take over.

We all know that Perez said it in Monday's press conference BUT he said it after Poch was turned into a mumbling wreck by Moura (I'm guessing inadvertently) letting slip that Kane could be fit for the second leg. And he's not the only one who's said it either - https://www.90min.com/posts/6357722...or-tottenham-s-second-leg-ucl-clash-with-ajax

Would love @ValenciaYid to be right on this one.
Son back is a boost but the cupboard has been seriously bare in the last three toothless matches.
If Harry was back my hopes of seeing Spurs in a Champions league final will be back up there

Isn't this attitude part of the problem?

You say without massive investment we can't make the champions league final. Yet if we don't Ajax, will, the team who spend a fraction of us and have defeated Juventus and Real Madrid, whilst not losing to Bayern and finishing above Benfica?

Last season liverpool made the champions league final with the same level of quality as us now?

Not to mention leicester, haven't spent a huge amount and won a title.

I think we have a self destructive mentally with the club

I wouldn't pin too much on Harry's swift return . We had our poor March with Harry playing . He wasn't properly recovered by the time
he got injured again imo . Hate the idea of prematurely rushing a 70% Harry back too soon .
