I like this sentiment.
Everyone deserves the a chance before we all pile on too hard with the troll comments and suchlike.

Yes, he could well be another Romario but he could also be a genuine person, just sharing on a football site.
It's no skin off my nose either way tbh.
I want to clarify that my intention was never to offend anyone!

As a lifelong Tottenham supporter, this transfer has been an emotional roller coaster for me, and I just wanted to express my feelings and engage in a discussion with fellow fans.
Just yesterday I caught my 11-year-old son watching old Harry Kane videos on YouTube, and as we revisited those moments, we found ourselves sharing a heartfelt moment that included a few tears. I’m not ashamed of it. It's incredible how football connects generations and creates memories that transcend the pitch.

I didn't mean to cause any confusion with my previous posts; I only aimed to express the deep emotions many of us are feeling right now.

I'm truly sorry if my words came across differently, and I want to assure you that I'm not here to troll or cause any negativity. It's disheartening to feel misunderstood, and I respect the community's opinions.

I didn't mean to disrupt the forum, and I appreciate the discussions we've had. Thank you to those who shared their perspectives.

Wishing everyone the best, and COYS!

Fuck me I haven’t popped into this thread for a while as I’ve moved on as he’s no longer a spurs player. But due to it being international break I see this was top post in general football and some of the post I see are like being a jilted lover who can’t let go.

The absence of his presence is not just felt on the field but resonates painfully through the void of his social media silence.
Every day, my son and I cling to the faint hope that maybe, just maybe, there will be a gesture, a whisper of acknowledgment for the club that etched his name in history.
Our hearts sink deeper with each passing day as we witness other players like Maddison showering affection on their former clubs, while our hero remains silent. It's like watching a chapter of our lives close without the closure we yearn for.

Feeling a profound sense of worthlessness, we scroll through his profiles, wondering if he remembers the countless moments that made us laugh, cry, and believe.
The silence is a dagger to the soul, leaving us grappling with the echoes of what once was.

Has anyone else found themselves trapped in this routine ?

that’s just poetry. Akin to Samuel Taylor Coleridge at his peak.

In Munich did Harry Kane a stately pleasure-dome play. :Where Sane , the sacred winger, ran. Through defences measureless to Mainz and Dortmund to a sunless Gbarby.

Ah. STC. The rhyme of the ancient Paul!

Many of us have been on the forum for many years in in that time, there have been a few troll accounts and that's why people get suspicious.
Romario was the most recent and a rather strange bloke who invented a whole alternate persona on here, for reasons known only to himself.
People don't like to be fooled, so are naturally suspicious of new members that speak strongly or openly.

With that being said, take a while to explore the forum. Have a look and get involved in some of the other threads as there's good stuff in here and not just football related.

It's always a bit quiet during an international break because Southgate sends us all to sleep but wait for the transfer window, then you're in for a ride!
Just make sure you read the rules when they open that section because it's stricter than the rest of this place. 👍

It's baffling that despite Bayern boasting a larger turnover than both Real Madrid and Man City, Levy settled for a deal below its potential. We had the leverage to ask for a more substantial fee, like £120 million, rather than accepting €95 million and some irrelevant friendlies.

It depends on the circumstances, to be honest. It appears as though Kane had made it clear that he wanted out and in reality, it's a pretty small pool of clubs that were able to afford him.
None of us wanted him to stay in the PL, so it was really a case of just trying to squeeze as much out of Bayern as possible.
That we got something in the region of 100m is pretty good really, for a 30 year old in the last year of his contract.
We don't know what the add ons are yet either.

I'd much rather that we kept hold of him but I honestly don't think that was an option.

As an aside, how did you react towards him with the whole City/Neville interview shenanigans?

I get it, he was hitting 30, but come on!
In a market where mediocre players like Caicedo are fetching £110 million, it's hard to wrap my head around accepting only 95M€ for arguably the best player in the world.
Maybe it's just the emotional fan in me talking, but it's tough to shake off the feeling that we could've squeezed a bit more juice from this transfer.

Regarding City/Neville…The whole thing was pretty much a begging plea from Charlie for City to come and get him I thought.
I have no doubt that H was under the influence and deep down would have never left us for a PL side.

We had our balls against the wall, it was this deal or lose him potentially on a free next summer. The amount was fine all things considered, you can only hold out so far sometimes.

The trouble is that the only clubs spending eye watering amounts of money are the English clubs and even Real Madrid have had to be sensible recently (in comparison to how they used to spend).
We could, and would have asked for more from an English club but the harsh reality is that he wanted to leave and it was either sell him to Bayern, or risk losing him on a free and have no control over where he goes.

As for the City debacle, I think he absolutely would have gone, they just didn't get anywhere near a reasonable offer, especially after spunking 100m on Grealish. Their offer was insulting at the time.
After the fact that he didn't come back to training on time and then put out a half-arsed statement that treated us all like we have the same levels of intelligence as his brother, I lost a lot of respect for him.
He was a fantastic player but that's as far as it goes for me.

I would have loved for him to stay but I also understood why he left and going to Bayern was probably the best outcome from a shitty situation

I honestly think he'd have much rather stayed in England than go abroad.

I get the necessity to sell Harry Kane, considering the circumstances.
In hindsight, taking a bit more time in the negotiations might have worked in our favor. Bayern's evident desperation for Kane could have potentially been leveraged to secure a way more lucrative deal in the region of £120m…when a club is as keen as Bayern seemed to be, playing a strategic waiting game might have prompted them to sweeten the pot considerably.

The City saga and the episode of H missing training of course did feel like a gut punch, and a part of me died in that moment.
But watching him go on to have this fantastic season was like a resurrection of sorts.

It's also got to be considered how little the German clubs usually spend.
Bayern obliterated their transfer record for Kane and while they may have been desperate to get him, we were also getting quite desperate to sell him.
I personally think we did quite well to get what we did, especially as they were the only club showing an interest and were constantly trying to lowball.
I think it was a deal where both clubs come out feeling like they've done well.

We should have agreed some ridiculous add-ons for Kane. We knew he is better than anyone else seemed to appreciate and he will shatter all the records in the Bundesliga, while giving BM a major boost in terms of profile and shirt sales etc. I know Bayern aren't exactly a low profile club, but Kane is another level and as the England captain was a real coup for them.

He's starting to look like a real bargain for them, and that pisses me off :grumpy:

All we (Levy) needed to do was invest in players to keep progressing when we were regular top6 team. Buy the better players instead of whomever he thought would do.
I know Levyites will say he did but he wouldn't buy the caliber of player needed to keep us improving
