Still can't believe this is all going to get done just hours before MW1.

LevyOuters often point to a lack of spend as their central grievance, but while that has been true at times, it's these smaller issues that build up for me. It's the deals that fell through. It's the lack of planning (Berbatov replaced by Campbell). It's pushing deals too late like Kane and VDV this season or trying to integrate 7 deadline day signings post Bale (weren't all on deadline day, but the important ones were). It's the ticket prices. It's glamour managers over play style.

He's an intelligent investor, and has certainly raised the fortunes (and revenue) of this club, but at the cost of alienating so many supporters.

What's everyone's gut feeling?

Think he will go personally. Just don't see how it gets this far without being what Kane wants. Also think if it was too late it would have been shut down completely.

With the whispers around Richarlison you would have to assume we would push for a replacement pretty quickly.

Surely any dispute between Harry and Tottenham regarding payments owed under the current contract (like loyalty payments) can be resolved at a later date. But if its about amounts owed under the prospective contract - like who pays the agent fees -- then I could see that being a hold up.

Swear some here will celebrate if he leaves this summer.

Totally get the arguments for selling now but for me he's a club legend and world class player and you hold on to him for as long as you can.

I'm not willing to give up just yet. It's not what the club is about. Better to fail aiming high that to succeed aiming low.

Thought we left the pragmatism behind after sacking Conte...
No-one will be 'celebrating' just knowing that we'd be getting £100mil now rather than £0 and he leaves to a PL rival next summer.

We all want him to stay but if he is 100% going to leave on a free next summer to strengthen a PL rival then certainly not the worst outcome if we sell him now to Bayern for £100mil.

If anyone is celebrating as a Spurs fan it will be the fact the whole saga is finally over and we as fans and Ange can all fully focus on the season ahead, no-one will be celebrating that we've just sold our greatest ever goalscorer.

If all parties are happy with the move and deal then any financial or contractual wrinkles will be ironed out and it'll happen.

If Kane is genuinely not sure about the move then that could scupper it. But he must surely have told Bayern he'll move if they agree a deal with Spurs.

If he turns down Munich and an English club come in with a similar bid I can’t see Levy turning it down. There’s no way the business is going to let a £100m asset run down. Levy will use the excuse he was forced into it…
It is also a tough spot for Levy as the club had been categoric that he won't be sold to an English rival. Would be a big loss of face to do a 180 on that now as the critics would just say why didn't you just open the bidding up to everyone in the first place and you might have got even more money for him in an extended bidding war

Right now my gut is leaning more towards him staying. Just feels deeply odd that the deal hasnt been sealed after the fee was agreed and think something is afoot.

Still feels very 50/50 to me, though.

Says Kane, not which one.
You have to actually read the article linked in the post…

With only one year left on his contract, the 29-year-old has a bit more leverage this time. Still, more importantly, the Tottenham striker declared his readiness to join Bayern in recent talks with Tuchel. They’re now optimistic that a deal can be struck.

Yea surely he goes, it would seem so bizzare for him to have agreed with Bayern weeks ago only for a deal to finally be struck and Harry then turns it down.

Only reason would be the family stuff and timings etc which is absolutely a huge factor but I'm sure they can make that work if this is what Harry really wants, CL football and a few German tin pots.

Why are people turning on Harry now? Have I missed something?
Its not about turning on Harry but if the clubs have come to an agreement on the deal that Harry wanted and initiated but now seems to be stalling on one day before the start of the season people are becoming frustrated.
What's the hold up?
