Charlie Eccleshare was on VftL reiterated yesterday that there seems to be a shift in the club that they will be loath to lose Kane for nothing and that in his eyes its 50:50 whether he's sold now as opposed to leaving on a free.

Nothing groundbreaking in that of course but coupled with this article it does sense that we are moving away from 'not for sale at any price' to trying to at least keep communication open with prospective buyers like Bayern in the hope they will eventually blink first and cough up close to a much more acceptable fee.

I just see it as he has no intention to sign a new contract now but there's no surprise there. Anything can happen in the next 12 months. I can't see him being completely closed to the idea. I do however think we would need to have a great season, maybe even win a trophy (not the Juan Gampa ) and even then possibly get a takeover/investment for next summer. I'm still surprised he would go to Bayern but maybe we're being too critical. It could be that he will only go abroad as not to harm his legacy here after the reaction to his attempted move to City. Although he will have his pick next year on a free so should be no rush. Unless he's just really convinced by Tuchel.
If he doesn’t want to harm is legacy / couldnt face playing against us regularly then not many better options than Bayern. Madrid or Barca really

personally I would keep him for another year just to enjoy him and Maddison together and because I know we will never win anything under Enic anyway

I hope this doesn't come across badly but people seem to be quite naive. I was like this during the Bale summer but this feels nailed on to me

Yeah it’s starting to now, I must admit unfortunately. We’ll get ITK coming out from somewhere soon enough. I remember being at a mates wedding when itk came out on Coys at the time with Bale. Their anniversary is coming up next week. ☹️

Multiple journalists, including Ornstein, Law and Gold all said he was considering all options, including him possibly signing a new deal, just not while the window is still open.

This is now saying emphatically he won't extend full stop.

Optimistic hope is that this is Charlie going to the media. Realistic is probably that the Kane deal has effectively been agreed for some time and it's all a PR campaign from all parties. Just look at all the replies saying we should cash in now.
Whilst I agree with the premise, I keep seeing people say it’s effectively been agreed and all a PR game: That’s crazy. It will be done I’m sure, but if it were all agreed, he’d be in a Bayern shirt.

in fact, quite the opposite, they’re leaking this stuff because it isn’t agreed, far from it, but Kanes people want it to be rapid.

Mane in talks to go to Saudi so that should mean a chunky transfer fee for Bayern but a huge saving in wages so this imo is starting to look likely. Mane was to be their replacement for Lewandoski (sp) but obviously that didn't work for previous manager so them going now for Kane makes complete sense.

Said it a few days ago but the mood music/tone does seem to have changed. We don't appear to be feeding the line to journos that no way is he for sale and we've met Bayern in London too.

I think in the end Levy and Co. will be more fearful to lose Kane to United, City, Chelsea, and co. on a free than to Bayern for a fixed amount.

He's more than proved his worth in any sort of transfer fee but it would be the PR disasters of disasters if he goes to another top 6 PL club and is scoring on us next season. I totally get he can be the difference to get us CL football and can change his mind so we shall see

We will look like absolute mugs if we turn down £90-100m from Bayern this summer and then Kane waltzes to City/Utd/Chelsea for free.

I just can't see Levy allowing that to happen.

I think he goes Tbf, and who can blame him. It’s been a shit show for years, and he’s Ben one of the very few shining lights.

hopefully he conducts himself in a better way than when he tried to force a move to city.

I just hope when he goes, the money is invested in the playing squad ( that’s if a huge chunk hasn’t already, in Maddison)

imperative we replace him with someone to fit anges style though.

If Bayern are to get Kane then it has to be this summer - pretty simple.

Still wonder if there's another club or two lurking in the background waiting to strike.

PSG were in the news recently, but I think that rumor has been quashed (by Kane's people by the sound of it.)

I can't see Levy selling to a PL at any price - but maybe an outrageous fee.

I'm not sure Real or Barça have the money, and I can't see Kane wanting to go to Italy.

Maybe he wants to join Messi in Miami...

Seriously though - I think its Bayern or bust this summer. Normally I think Bayer would be able to ride this out until the end of the window with a low offer, but I think Bayern need Kane, almost as much as Spurs would need to sell - so, if Kane will never sign a new deal, then we can probably reach a fair price.

So basically nothing has changed, he won’t go anywhere this summer, unless a fee is met 🤷🏼‍♀️
Kind of is different though in that a fee might actually been known. Previously reports were we wouldn't sell (outside of a massive transfer record type fee) but now reports are coming out that are not saying that anymore.
Gary Jacobs isn't clickbait journo.

So much smoke around now that we might need to start considering the possibility that he won't be here in September
