Who is the author of the article? It says beyond the paywall that he "has no intention" of signing a new deal. That would be new. I know people have been of that view, but to have it stated by journalists would be new no?
Sorry - maybe I am being dense here - but I don't see anything new in that article.
I don't think it is an indication that Kane will never sign another deal with Spurs - just that he won't do it now - which is what I thought we already knew.
I was in two minds before but to me this is clearly a shift in the narrative - not to say others are being naive but perhaps than people had cottoned on earlier than me. But now I feel it has become very likely he will go this summer.I hope this doesn't come across badly but people seem to be quite naive. I was like this during the Bale summer but this feels nailed on to me
This is now saying emphatically he won't extend full stop.
I think that's the most likely occurrence. I doubt Kane is giving media interviews from his hotel room so is probably coming from Charlie.Optimistic hope is that this is Charlie going to the media.
Paywall - but the opening lines don't sound like anything new here.
Said a few days - this in my opinion is all PR now to save the club and secondly Kane as much face as possible. Levy and the board will not risk the circa £100m this summer on a maybe.Interesting change of tune here. Previously top journos like Ornstein were saying he's keeping his options open.
Starting to suspect that this has all been agreed some time ago and has been a long drawn out PR game.
Personally I'd still keep him and hope we make enough progress this season to get him considering a new deal. Which is possible if you at least make Chelsea and Utd look like sideways steps. I'd rather take the gamble personally. If there was some unreal attacking talent out there (Thinking in the Salah or Hazard moulds) to bring in with the money then maybe, but there doesn't seem to be many on the market.
The article - which I quoted from above - does not really go that far.First time we’ve heard he has no intention of staying, as the last sentence states. Despite lots of us suspecting it.
This whole thing is pure emotion for all of us. We all love him and are sad that he needs to leave us to achieve what he wants.Good points, I'm probably being too universal in my thinking, it would apply to a lot of players
People like Kane and Beckham are outliers.
Thnik I'm just a bit pissed that he is going to leave
Tell me, how do you KNOW he wants out? I don't get how people can be so certain?Think some of you are being naive.
He wants out, time to sell and give Ange the funds to rebuild.
He will just walk for free to City or Utd next year anyway. That’s why Bayern are pushing hard this summer, as they know one of the big English sides will get him next year.
