75 out of 100 fans couldn’t tell you the all time scoring record holder. 95 out of 100 can tell you the PL goal scorer record holder. For younger fans, life pretty much did begin with the PL. it’s the highest watched league in the world ffs
100% this.

I was born in 1990, and although I appreciate all football before the PL started, it's all i've ever know and grown up with.

Whenever they show "records" in regards to English league competitions it's 99% "Premier League" records, whether that's goals scored, assisted, basically every single one.

I'd honestly be utterly shocked if firstly, Bayern stumped up enough cash for Levy to accept, and secondly, Kane genuinely wanting to go their at this current moment.

Not shitting on Bayern, they are a huge club of course, also not saying Spurs are currently a more desirable team to play for that Bayern.

If he goes to Munich, he won't be leaving for atleast 3 years. What will he realistically win in 3 years? 2 Bundesliga titles easily most likely, they don't have an equivalent of a League cup, only FA cup which is the DFB Pokal, which is a cup they havn't actually won in the last 3 years, so say 1 cup in the next 3 years? Bayern have won the Champions league once in the last 10 years, so lets be generous and say he'll win a CL in those 3 years too.

So hypothetically (massively) He could potentially win 2 german league titles, 1 domestic cup and a champions league, certainly nothing to be scoffed at, but 3 years out of England could make becoming the Premier League all time goal scorer no longer possible.

This is all hypothetical of course, but honestly, if i'm Kane and wanting my legacy to ATLEAST end with setting a premier league goal scoring record that probably won't be beaten for atleast another 20 years, i'm gonna stay at Spurs for the season, see how things go. Best case for us, and maybe him, we have a brilliant season, finish top 4, with a cup etc and he signs a new deal. Worst case for us but still a fantastic situation for him, we have a poor season and leaves on a free, which without a doubt will likely be City or Utd.

If he sees out his contract and signs for City next summer, he'd quite easily win more trophies and IMO more important to him trophies and records than he would going to Bayern now.

Dont be reeled in lads

That's pretty worrying. Ive no idea if he would or wouldn't go to that scum but the fact it's out there worries me it's his team trying to force a move.

Would love a season with him, Maddison and Sonny without worrying he will join those pricks.

Fuck me, that is the biggest reach I've seen so far this summer. The absolute state of football media. You can't move for wankers and clickbait. I long for weekends of Grandstand, Ceefax, and Jimmy Hill era MOTD :(

He’s not going to do that. It would absolutely burn his legacy here, he’d be as big a pariah as Sol Campbell.

i think this is something that people shouldn’t miss. Ending a career as the PL highest ever goal scorer is incredible. You will always be remembered amongst the greats. Winning a title or two doesn’t give you that despite people pretending that it does. Ideally you would have both but if you can choose one it’s got to be the one That keeps you in the memory.

If Kane leaves the PL now there is a significant chance he won’t ever beat Shearer’s record. If he moves clubs there is no guarantee that your ability to impact a game will transfer either (Torres is a great example). Kane needs to work out what he wants Out of his career. At Spurs that record is his, but trophies might not be. At City trophies would be but not necessarily the record. At Real or Bayern the record isn’t happening. He needs to work out what he wants.

For us the only thing that should matter is that we will be much better next season with Kane than without. So let’s have that and let Kane work out the rest.

Honestly sounds like they read the Harry Redknapp comments about him buying the golf course and came up with a story about Chelsea because its near to it.

I live in Shrewsbury, 5 minutes from Charles Darwin’s childhood house. I’m thinking of popping down and drafting up the theory of evolution….

That’s definitely how it happens. A player builds a house close to his new desired club and then alerts them so they can sign him.

The Wentworth Estate is pretty exclusive. If he’s building it now he would’ve brought the land ages ago and had to go through planning permission and that would’ve taken time with how strict they are. It may also be a conservation area. This means it’s been going on for some time and doesn’t suggest he’s doing it to join Chelsea. More than likely it’s just a great investment or a great place to live in peace in one of Europes most sort after and private Estates
