Rooney - 53
Charlton - 49
Lineker - 48
Greaves - 44
Kane - 41
(Owen - 40)

Just a matter of time, he could easily end up scoring 60+ goals for England.

Did Rooney play in the duckshoot games? Harry is often rested for these and it must have an impact.

would be great to see this goals v games played.

Maybe it's just me, but this whole saga has made me lose interest in Kane's England career.

Yes another goal towards becoming England's top goalscorer but he really has burnt bridges with his behaviour. I'll support him for spurs but following his career as an international player really doesn't bother me at all now.

On another note, will he be fit/available for palace? With son possibly out as well, we could really be in trouble.

The thing that stands out to me most,

he visibly puts in more effort playing for England these days than he does for Tottenham

I wanted him to stay one more season with us, partly to show those oil slavers who owns his contract, and partly because I know we need him this season to have hope of top 4. That said, I don't want him breaking the greaves spurs record and I don't want him breaking the rooney england record.

I just want spurs to get back in the top four, and then I want kane to shove off out of my club (preferably in exchange for 100m or so)

Maybe I'll feel differently at the end of this season, but right now I find him incredibly distasteful

Lewandowski is a lovely player, but if this was a head to head, kane produced a specular goal and so out shone him. He's on target to be england's all time best striker.

We'll never know how much manc bid for him, but we know Levy would have sold him for about £160m, regardless of having any replacements lined up. He doesn't look overpriced either. Chances to buy the best don't come up often, and I think guardiola will live to regret this summer.

Basing the head to head of strikers on a one-off game between two nations who are not of equal footballing strengths is rather absurd.

I’d have said Lewondowski looked like the more dangerous player last night, constant threat in a poorer team, great assist too …

I don't see that. At all. England fans were pretty damning of his effort last night.

I agree but we did get the nice comparison of Lewandowski having a similar shot moments before Kane which he scuttled into the arms of Pickford.

It's stunning people call Kane's goal as a screamer. With all due respect, it had 0.03 xg and if he shot it one thousand times, 999 of them would not result in goal - but Szczęsny fucked up, which makes me even more happy than if Kane actually scored a worldie.
