We are guessing but given our history of selling our elite players for very high prices under Levy I find it very hard to believe that he'd agree to any fee for Kane on a gentlemen's agreement.

If Levy has never done it before and his ways of doing business are consistent then our educated guess is surely that he hasn't done things completely differently this time around.

I genuinely think somebody would have an easier time trying to make me a flat earther than convince me of Levy agreeing to sell Kane for 100 mill or actually saying a value.

No. I’ve been critical of Kane to friends over time (ever since CL semi win post game interview with him). If I were to express my true opinion on him on here in the past I would’ve been shot down. He was put on a pedestal and worshiped for reason I understood but didn’t agree. The chosen one- really. Maybe Kane believes that. Not for me.

Only just saw this. Wassup ?

Don’t forget, end of this season Haaland’s €75m release clause is activated. There’s a lot of young players who could rise in the coming 12 months like Watkins (Villa), Scarlett (Spurs) Abrahams (Chavscum) Saka (Arsescum), Hoppe (Schalke), Moukoko (Dortmund). At least half those lads could potentially be better than Kane, particularly Moukoko.

This was Kane’s chance to move off the back of a big scoring season and Euros. He just handled it badly and now it looks like the chance has gone. He might well have to stay with us for the next 2/3 years. He needs to knuckle down.
That makes it sound a bit like he's had an uncharacteristically good season. Kane's had 6 big scoring seasons, and he'll continue to do so for whoever he plays for. He'll never be short of opportunities.

Especially at the time of the alleged 'gentleman's agreement' he had 4 years left on a contract, why would he? If it was 2 years left say, maybe, but that doesn't seem Levy's style. Uber professional business man, would never do it.

I think they think it's clever wording.

By all accounts he was due back on monday for blood tests etc, and then 5 days isolation before training with the group.....tomorrow.

He is speaking in half truths.
It's funny they think admitting of coming back from holiday week later without club permission is much better from refusing to train

Oh I agree, clubs will want him. But if you’re going to spend 100m Plus on a 29 year old with a record of scoring, but also spending 30/50 days per season injured. That number could go up as he gets older, we recover slower. Versus spending 100m on an 18/21 year old with pedigree who you know can provide you with several seasons of great returns AND have resale value with less KNOWN injury risk… Doesn’t Haaland or Moukoko seem a better bet, for next summer and long term?

Get another striker in, don’t care who, someone who wants to be here. Leave this prick on the bench, job done.

An interesting post on BM says Kane is poorly advised..... and someone suggests

"or he's very well advised and this is all part of a bigger plan."

Imagine Kane really does want to stay, wants even more money, longer contract, but is only halfway through 6yrs.... so appears distracted, appears to agitate to leave, the club would do anything to keep him, so he agrees another extension, on even more money, but this time with a disgustingly high release clause. ?

This is a map of the world on my wall. As you can see, it's flat.
