I like to think I'm quite objective when watching Tottenham and the Oppo (even the scum!) but obviously I can be pretty 1 eyed without really noticing..

Before reading an article I generally look who they give MOTM in any report I look at which saves time having to read absolute tosh.
Had they said 1 or 2 others I would,'t have been happy but would have read on.

When I saw Nasri I turned the page.

Eboue looked dangerous when he wasn't being a pr*ck. Gallas saved them yesterday Nasri was pretty anonymous yesterday I forgot he was playing for much of the game.

Palacious was immense yesterday so good to see a little bite in the midfield.

The Grauniad's got some good football writers. They've also got some Grade-A tossers.

The guy who did their match blog summed it up pretty well, I thought—they lacked ambition, we lacked belief. But naming Nasri MOTM? From a neutral's point of view it had to be Palacios or Gallas (who, wacko that he is, was pretty superb).

I must admit watching nasri, the boy looks class, just his first touch - he's gonna be a great player.

but MOTM! LOL! Only Jenas and Denilson were more anonymous, and thats embarassing for anyone!

Couple of years ago I went with my cousins to Anfield to see Lpool v Newcastle (spare ticket), and Harry Kewell was outstanding, everyone agreed...MOTM. Next morning in the paper...Gerrard MOTM, even though just about every knew he had a off day and was anonymous!! Even people in the pub were saying Gerrard was shit after the game!

I know exactly what happened. They based it off stats. He had better passing stats than Modric and beat Palacious in a bunch of other stats too.

A commentator (who I really respect) in the USA for the equiv of SSN said the same thing. His stats were superior to our players.
