I can only comment on who played for spurs in my lifetime. I'll probably get WTF?!!! for Corluka and Assou-Ekotto but for a couple of seasons there, they were the best two full backs I have seen in terms of their linkup with other players.

Lloris

Corluka King Campbell Assou-Ekotto

Ginola Gascoigne Modric Bale

Berbatov Klinsmann

From a similar timeframe I'd largely agree with that, although for me Sheringham possibly just edges it over Berbatov.

I'd possibly go with Carr over Corluka as well as I think he had more good games for us than Charlie.

Kane
Kane - Kane - Kane
Kane - Kane - Kane - Kane - Kane
Kane - Kane

All aboard the Kane Plane!

By the way I think lots of people are being very generous to Stephen Clemence in this thread.

I was always a big Corluka fan, he put in some more than solid shifts at RB for us!

Nice. Mackay's going to have to get through a lot of work!

Only can remember from 2000 onwards so:

Lloris
Walker - King - Woodgate - Vertonghen (because fuck Ekotto)
van der Vaart - Davids - Modric - Bale
Keane - Berbatov
But by the end of the year:

Kane
Kane - Kane - Kane
Kane - Kane - Kane - Kane - Kane
Kane - Kane

But by the end of the year:

Lloris
Kane - Kane - Kane
Kane - Kane - Eriksen - Kane - Kane
Kane - Kane

Since 1980 (when I started following us)

Clemence

D. Thomas King Gough Hughton

Anderton Gazza Roberts Hoddle Waddle

C. Allen
Subs: Lloris, Mabbutt, Perryman, Ardiles, Bale, Sheringham, Lineker

Felt strange leaving out Modric, Ginola, Klinsmann and others but I've gone for a 4-5-1 (as we ripped it up playing that in 86-87) and there was no space for a number of players I've loved over the years.

Modric doesn't even make the bench?
Nope. Ossie was simply better and over a longer period. I watched a lot of both. I put White in because according to my dad he was like hoddle but was a long distance runner and lasted 90 minutes. Modric was fabulous in his final 2 years. Just my opinion.
