Kelly would make sense but an older backup would fit the bill imo, as long as he had the right skillset for Ange's style. Don't know who that would be, but somebody in the Rudiger mould I guess.

Problem with older players is that the wages tend to be high and there are no sell-on benefits. It seems conflicting with the route we're going down at the moment.

I do get your point though - we ought not to be in the business of stifling player development and leaving younger/ prime talent to rot on the bench. It won't look good for us.
