Not ITK but jacqui oatley from the BBC on twitter is saying that shay given to the scum is a deal done...take it with a huge pinch of salt but it came originally from warren barton one of his best mate....but it makes sense
But this could be sabotage with a trojan leper. If Given's injuries of the last couple of seasons have taken their toll there might not be much left.I thought they weren't selling to rivals who might pip them for 5th this year?
The possibility was mentioned on MOTD2
Would be pissed off if they finally solve their goalie issue. Surely wont be cheap after costing 15?million from Newcastle?
I would not worry about his injury too much, although as it was his shoulder perhaps a bit more rehab would be sensible. Top keeper before his injury and would expect him to continue for at least another season or so.
I thought City had only paid £6m for him. He shouldn't be much more than that at 34 years old, but City don't work like everyone else.
He'll probably be £6m / available on loan to anyone that finished below them last season, £20m to anyone else.
I was suprised at the price as well, from BBC:
"For us, Given is an important player, " said Mancini of the experienced Irish stopper, who joined City from Newcastle in February 2009 in a £15m transfer.
