David Ginola has told talkSPORT Tottenham can be serious Premier League title challengers for the next six years – but ONLY if they keep manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine boss has been linked with a move away from north London after what has so far been a flying season for Spurs, who currently sit second in the table.

Both Chelsea and Manchester United are said to be interested in the 43-year-old, though Pochettino recently dismissed reports of a possible exit by insisting he is settled at the club.

Tottenham’s excellent form has club legend Ginola excited for the future, with the former midfielder confident the team are on the verge of ‘achieving something really special’.

But he said Spurs must secure Pochettino's long-term future as boss to realise their lofty ambitions.

Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, the White Hart Lane hero said: “I can see something different at Spurs right now.

“When I was playing at Tottenham, there wasn’t any chance for us to win the league. But under Pochettino - with the way he deals with players, tactics, everything - you can see that the team is moving in the right direction.

“It’s not just finishing in the top four anymore, now they have a chance to do something more important – winning the league.

“The position of Spurs right now is very interesting. They have come from behind and are right up there, ready to step up for the title.

“It’s very interesting to see Spurs and Arsenal fighting for the title this season and I think it should be the case for the next few years also.

“The next five or six years are looking very promising for Spurs.

“To bring stability to a club you need to keep the manager in charge for a certain time. Why? Because he’s going to work with players and he will add some players.

“If you trust his ability to bring back success at the club you need to keep him for at least four or five years – a long term period.

“And that’s what Spurs and Daniel Levy are doing. You can see what they’re trying to achieve, they’re doing something really special.” http://talksport.com/football/david...ent-about-tottenham-theyre-building-something

Love Daveed.... one of the great players at a time when we were absolute dog shit.

But wish our former players would stop talking us up until it is mathematically impossible for anyone to catch us

Media momentum building exponentially.

What this says to me is how few of our games these so-called experts have actually watched this season

(Yes I know this particular comment is Ginola)

Pope Francis Calls For Pochettino to be Canonised

Vatican officials today confirmed that the topic of Pochettino's sainthood is on the agenda. Confidential sources close to the 226th pontiff claim that Pochettino's work with young millionaires along with his cherubic appearance and humbleness make him, in the pope's words "a fackin shoe-in".
