If Kane goes and we do bring this lad in, what a ridiculous jump it'll be.

Barely two years at first team level and gets a move to Spurs as starting replacement for their record goalscorer (assuming Richy is injured).

No pressure kid.
He doesn't seen lacking for confidence but would be a truly absurd leap in quality for him and a leap of faith for us.

Might be beneficial for someone like him or Veliz to go straight in. Yes both raw but if you're already in good form and come straight into a team that wants to score goals - could hit the ground running!

I'm simultaneously excited by Orban, who definitely passes the eye test, and feeling that we really ought to be replacing Kane with a bigger name and a more established player.

It's just such a massive leap with no guarantees that he makes it as even a competent Premier League striker, never mind one that we're going to need to rely upon for 20 goals or more.

Signing Orban ahead of someone like Kolo Muani suggests Richarlison will definitely be our starting striker and I'm really not sure how to feel about that. I like him, but he's a huge downgrade on Kane.

KAA Gent Manager: "Is it impossible to keep Orban? No. It's not impossible. He doesn't have to go and maybe he stays but I cannot predict the future. We do need to sell in order to buy players. Even small Belgian clubs like Westerlo are spending big money now, we cannot stay behind".

Gent probably a good place to send someone on loan
I keep banging on about this but it's where Brighton send their new signings on loan to blood them for the prem and seems to work for them so why not us?

8th best league in Europe over the past 5 years and pretty much guaranteed minutes for players. Good spot for youngsters I reckon.

Scarlett to them isn't a bad shout, even Devine, although you'd like to see them both at least in the Championship for the required development to potentially become first team players.

Championship is great if you can get the loan just right but its so bloody volatile since the stakes are so high. Very easy for the manager to get sacked or lose faith in a youngster and then they spend a season rotting on the bench.

In the end of the day Orban whilst looking a prospect has essentially only played half a season(25 games) in the Jupiler Pro League, which I believe is currently the 8th highest ranked league in Europe. I think it’s important to take a little perspective when looking at his experience and where exactly he is in his development. He’s still extremely raw and I think it wise not to have too high expectations on a kid because of a few exciting YouTube videos. Not that he isn’t a prospect or I don’t want him, I just feel we need to be realistic about what we would be getting if we got him.

I get a Patson Daka feel all over him. He scored 34 goals in 42 games before joining Leicester from the Austrian League wich is somewhat similar... I would rather see us go for Taremi.

Sounds the like the Kane deal is confirmed and he's on his way to Bayern. Need Daniel to get this Orban deal done ASAP

Really hope we can get someone better than Orban, Like Vlahovic Tameri. Orban is so underwhelming to replace the best striker PL has seen in years.
