Why didn't this very decent girl go to court and prove she was raped?? I'm sure she could have got damages at a later date. I'm not saying he didn't do it, but I once heard Whoopi Goldberg say sometimes it's better to pay accusers off, than to drag it through the courts, even if their lying.
If she had gone to court there's no benefit to him. Legal fees would be above 300 grand probably, and shit sticks, no matter the outcome. If she was proved to be a liar she would just go on with her life because she'd be totally anonymous.
When you're a rich celeb, paying someone off is usually the easier option.
I don't know if he did it or not, but I won't vilify him for it until it's proven

Have a look at what he said to his lawyers in his initial statement. He said that she said stop and no several times.

Surely PSG are the only ones who can afford his wages and thats if they offload neymar.
His only other option is to try to outlast ZZ as Perez will not let him go on the cheap

Madrid really have convinced themselves that all Bale does is play golf. It's quite bizarre.

He has a 6 hole course in his garden if I remember correctly. If I had a golf course in my garden and paid someone to keep it looking nice I’d use it a lot too.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with it in his spare time, better for an athlete than going out partying.

We all know what's going to happen right.
It always does, but most of the activities don't get reported.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Here goes:

Deadline day.

Levy calls Real.
Levy will offer between £25-45 million for Bale, but will insist on Real paying at least 50% his wages.

If not accepted (which it won't) he will move on...

Then Levy will call Palace.
Levy will offer £35-45 mill for Zaha.

If not accepted he'll move on again.

Then Levy will call Juventus.
Levy will offer £35-45 mill for Dybala.
Juventus say he's off to Man Utd for £75 Mil

Then Levy will call Andy Carroll to cover the forward position on a pay as you play deal.

Listening to TS (I know!) I reallly don't get why people are getting on Bale's back! Real are the worst, if they want a player they use all sorts of dirty tricks to get him. Their fans are a disgrace and the way Bale has been treated by everyone at that club is disgusting. If I was Bale, I would do the same, if they want him gone they have to pay him off

If Bale hasn’t found a club by deadline day and Levy says to Madrid we’ll take him off your hands but you’ll have to pay 2/3rds of his wages for the rest of his contract, do you think they would take that or just let Bale play golf for a few years?

Personally, I think they would try to get a better deal with Inter, Juve, Bayern etc. or a loan while those windows are still open.

No, coz our deadline day finishes way before other major European leagues. Give it up, eddie- the Bale ship is out the harbour and on the motherflipping equator

In 20 years time, when Bale has long since gone bald and retired after the inevitable knee explosion, the 39/40 iteration of this thread will be still going strong.

"After all these years at the stadium Levy (the tight ****) obviously has enough cash to replace Bale's knee. What are we waiting for??? Bring our boy back home."

"If I see Jenas Jr on the teamsheet one more time I swear I'll boycott this club"

Nothing is certain in life except death, taxes, and Spurs fans convincing themselves of Bale's return.

No to be honest i’m not at all fussed about Bale. Just thinking about that scenario. However, you both have rightly pointed out the difference in transfer deadline which I still find weird and keep forgetting about!

They must have a plan/destination in mind for him, otherwise they would have let him go to China, surely?

One small matter I missed in all the optimism of us pulling Bale out of a hat is that our transfer window closes about a month or so before Spain, France and Germany and a few weeks before Italy. Would Real wait for an offer from the likes of Bayern, PSG and co? Probably, although I am hoping that Bayern secure Sane before our window closes. This early closure could seriously damper Levy's chances of getting those 'Van Der Vaart type' bargains. Take Lo Celso for example, all it takes is for a team from one of these countries to pop their head in on our deadline day and register interest which could damage our chances of getting him over the line.

As a result we might have to pay a little more cash than we want to get our targets. Something I am sure Levy would hate.

They're not even displaying his printed shirts in the store anymore:

I think it's too late in the day for anyone in the Prem to do a deal this big now and the press has gone quiet on him.
