Kinda the same, though I only know because its a team we could well lose heavily too.I think my apathy has just been confirmed. I had no idea who we were playing this weekend.

There were some grumbles but I don't remember anything like the frustration we're all feeling now. Poch's appointment was met with positivity so that bought him some time, the ideas he tried to implement were also obvious to us fans and so in general although it wasn't bearing fruit I think most of us were happy for him to be given time. None of that applies to Nuno. Most fans felt that he was the polar opposite of what we needed and that we've seen very little evidence that given time we he could get us playing really good football. I've said it elsewhere, what we're seeing are not teething problems. They're the desperate scramblings of a manager without much of an idea about how to get this squad playing attractive, winning football. I'm resigned to Nuno being here for the foreseeable future. I have been convinced by the argument some have made that Levy has backed himself into a corner and simply has to give Paritici's appointment as long as humanly possible to come good. If Levy sacks Nuno, he undermines Paritici, who Levy tore up his original summer plans to hire.
Plan 1: Hire someone consistent with Spurs DNA
Plan 2: Talk to candidates who don't need much money
Plan 3: Oh no, wait, Conte is available
Plan 2 (redux): Fonseca. Yup, he's our man
Plan 4: Ooh, Paritici is available.
Plan 5: We want a defensive coach now
Plan 6: Gatusso you say? Err. Fans say no.
Plan 7: Nuno didn't hang up on us like all the others. He's perfect!
What if you want to play out from the back but don't have a goalie and defenders who are good enough to do that. What if you want to be a possession based team but the players ain't good enough beat the press and maintain possession. What if you want to press from the front but the players are either too old or not fit enough to do so.of course you can - its basics you have have to work on a pattern of play to frame your side into - you work on what you do without the ball how to defend how to develop play an so on
if you haven't got that signing players is just pot luck because what are they going into - the hope that they might be the one who changes it round - the primary thing a manager needs to do is develop a style of a play a system if you have that you have half a chance to work out what players fit and who don't - we ain't got that, didn't have it last season and don't seem to have it now - then you end up with going round in decreasing circles which is where we are now
Levy really fucked the summer up didn't he?
We just lucked out with Poch. There is no other explanation for his appointment.

I think it’s a case of having to do what Klopp did when he started with Liverpool - coach the players to play in the way you want them too until you can replace them with players better suited to your system. What if you want to play out from the back but don't have a goalie and defenders who are good enough to do that. Benitez is not under pressure to play free flowing attacking football that S in our DNA. Also marketability of deadwood is not his concern.again you have to work out a system to suit your players and what you have at your disposal that's management - do you really think our players are unfit or to old to press that's all about being organised and doing it as a team or you drop and double bank
just watched a bit of Everton who have probably have lesser players than us - Benitez has been there for same time as Nuno and you can see the work he has been doing with the defensive unit, defending, and shape without the ball can you say the same about us ? Thats a team you can compare us with and look at them today and us last week
It's common knowledge that our squad was the most unfit in the league last season. It will take until November to see the benefits of double training sessions. Not convinced they have lesser players than us in midfield which is where games are won and lost.again you have to work out a system to suit your players and what you have at your disposal that's management - do you really think our players are unfit or to old to press that's all about being organised and doing it as a team or you drop and double bank
