I don't want to believe because I know I'll be let down, but I just want to feel hope again. Conte fills you with hope as soon as he steps through the door. I just want to feel that.

My prediction: lots of journo noise about Conte, nothing ultimately materialises, PR about how 'we tried' or 'we pressed' (also, what's with all this pressing bullshit that's being used over the last year?). We get rid of Nuno, Mason caretakes, and when it's too late to do anything in January we hire someone we have to go to Tifo to find out if they're any good or not. Rinse repeat until we all die.

My suspicion is that these leaks are coming from Conte’s camp to push United into sacking Ole before he joins another club. Don’t think for a moment he’s actually coming.
Would look a bit odd after United walloped us. No big clamour for OGS to go from the United fans, he is getting stick and the defeat to Liverpool really pissed them off, but the United board seem cautious and OGS is a bit of a club legend for them. Apparently Conte has reservations about Yoonited too.....

Nice interview saying how proud he'll make us and something about genetics

get him in. Shore up the defence. Then let our front 3 cause Merry havoc.

This guy was the first to break our interest in Conte FWIW

Exclusive: Conte-Tottenham non stop. Paratici wants it immediately. The details

Almost 24 hours ago we anticipated Tottenham 's will to sack Nuno Espirito Santo after the latest results. And we added that the will is to convince Antonio Conte after the sinking of the negotiation last summer. Perhaps for this reason Espirito Santo has not yet been exempted. Conte would like to decide after the break, therefore in a week, also to understand any margins linked to Manchester United .
Conte would happily go to Old Trafford, as anticipated a week ago during the crash against Liverpool. But he opened at Tottenham and Fabio Paratici- with Levy's green light - he offered him an important contract, not necessarily long, even up to 2023 with a possible option. The duration can be decided by Conte, short or long. Paratici's strategy is to convince him to arrive in London by Tuesday and to entrust him with the team for the second leg of the Conference League against Vitesse on Thursday. In order to provide for the exemption of Espirito Santo without any kind of scruple. Conte will give an answer in the next few hours: he thinks about Manchester United but he opened the dialogues with Tottenham immediately, as confirmed by the contacts also today. And the fact that he opened is already a very telling step.

This reeks of Paratici putting pressure on Daniel. The report is now out there that Conte is open to us, and the only thing standing in the way is Levy's willingness to spend. If we wind up with a second-rate option the public perception will be that it was because Levy was unwilling to make the requisite financial commitment, and any failure will be something that won't tarnish Paratici's reputation. He'll be able to say it was all down to Spurs being the tightest club in top-level football. A win-win from Fabio's perspective.
Much rather a win-win for Paratici than a win-win for Levy.

Very likely the case
How ironic would it be if United thrashing us led to Nuno getting the sack, which led to Ole getting the sack so as to prevent us from replacing Nuno with Conte. Imagine how that would feel if you were Solskjaer.

Possibly but it would make more sense this time, Nuno isn’t working out, Paratici can’t go back to Fonseca as he chose Nuno over him but he and Levy can both save face now by going back to Conte.

I’d say 0 chance but as we have Paratici and the way Di Marazio and some of the other Italian journalists are wording it as well as news earlier of board meeting to discuss Nuno’s future, it doesn’t seem like it is just all noise to convince man.u to act.

Also Man.U fans weren’t turning on Ole like we were on Nuno, I think Ole will be given more time, kind of like that 5-0 lost was fergies bad moment in early man.u days.

Could be wrong and probably will just be Mason until Dec and appoint some nobody and rinse and repeat forever but Levy does listen to the last person he spoke to, Paratici is his new plaything who is going no-where, if Paratici is saying we need to move heaven and earth to convince Conte then Levy did spunk £15m a year on Jose so you just never know.

Anyway the club is so shit and a mess right how why not believe for a few hours just for some fun.

Not having this Conte talk. Can't do it to myself again. I genuinely believed in the summer, not again.

Conte wants to win, we are so far off winning. Imagine the amount that would need to be invested. There is no way we will spend the money it would take.

I've decided Conte's coming and I'm not listening to anything else. See you at the press conference on Wednesday lads. My celebratory hair piece is on order for the occasion.

I saw this quote in the ESPN article:

"However, the level of hostility from the club's supporters inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend is said to have surprised many senior figures at the club."

They can't be that deaf/blind to the fans' concerns, can they?
