What would make the national game better?

1. Post match video analysis to deter simulation...something to put an end to the current embarrassing rolling about over nothing.
Simulation-> booking.
Simulation that lead to a penalty->2 match ban.
Simulation that lead to player being sent off ->3 match ban.

2. Player purchase monies up front and in one lump sum. You can't buy a player unless you have the money in the bank rather than mortgaging the future. It mean the end of the preferred creditor rule that is on the verge of getting lots of clubs into difficulties with HMRC.

Anything else?

Fixture list fixing.

Boxing day matches to be local derbies (who wants to travel up to Newcastle after your x-mas celebrations).

Possibly look at the league at xmas and make the second half season fixtures. i.e.leaving Chelsea v Man Utd for the last game of the season.

League 2 to be separated into North and South, with a playoff between the runners up to enter League 1.

Re-organise the national team selection process. Take a leaf from cricket's book and have an independant panel selection process which gives players a real chance of breaking into the national team and eliminates a single managers favourtism.

No replays for League and FA cup games. (think this is already coming in to cut down fixture congestion.

Premier league rule to state that all players contracts include a section that they will take a 40% if they are relegated from the Premiership. Players under £15k a week will be exempt. Then scrap the parachute payments and split this between the lower leagues.

Rush goalkeepers & instead of penalties, three man headers & volleys.

How can we work "3 and in" into this system too?

Penalty shootouts deceided by a canon and a keeper in a suit of armour.

If the goalie lives then it's counted as a save.

Canon Fodder football.

I don't want post match analysis at all. Once the final whistle is blown I think all decisions should be final. I don't agree with diving but the thing to eradicate it should be better refereeing, and in England, we don't have the problem that some foreign leagues do. It's also a fine line between getting out of the way of a horrible challenge / diving / making more of a challenge than one should.

I do think though that any player waving imaginary cards / calling for other players to be booked, should be booked themselves, that would fix that problem almost overnight.

I don't like too much change in football though, unless it's really necessary.

Totally agree with this.
