I will be rooting for Liverpool's opponents in every game for the rest of the season
I've been doing that since I first had an interest in football! Surrounded by the smug, deluded idiots round here :cautious:

I think with CL, and tiring/pressurised squads, the teams above Liverpool will struggle to improve their points per game ratio compared with the season so far. Similarly Liverpool, though of course they don't have CL. Obviously that's no reason to assume that we'll go on an insane run but we can hope! And if it does happen, wow!

Top 4 will not get 80 points!! This is so hard to predict. We've seen over the last few weeks that anyone can beat anyone on any given day. Lots of twists and turns still to come. The fact that we are still in contention for the top 4 is good enough for me, to be only 7 points off the top?? Mental.

All 4 teams above us have had spells in the season where they've had a great run of performance but we haven't. No reason of course to suggest that we will but we have key players coming back from injury and the new players will only get better with time. If this happens then I think we will make top 4 and could get 3rd. COYS !!

dont underestimate the effect of the relegation battle on results. 5 teams finishing with 77 points or more is unheard of.

Paramount we get maximum points from the 9 games that don't include Goons Chelsk and Pool
That will be incredibly tough but if we can do that then I think we'll get top 4 regardless

Relax, people. After plotting in the results of the final games, we actually get 3rd! Arsenal on 4th, and Poo on 5th. Nothing to worry about, and hooray for Tim Sherwood!

Why isn't that BBC Predictor thing working anymore for the lazy sods like me who don't like putting shit down on paper? :(

I don't think we'll do any worse than Everton at Chelsea. Having said that I think we'll both lose. Chelsea will beat Liverpool as well, but I think the Scouse muck will get something at Man Utd. Man City will beat Arsenal and I'd expect us to drop more than just two points from our remaining games against the 'smaller' teams.

Because it would allow people to envisage a world in which Liverpool don't make the top four, and the BBC couldn't have that happening.

These predictions are great and last until saturday when they are proved wrong and have to be done again.

I think you are giving the current top 4 too much credit, all 4 with over 2.1 ppg for the rest of the season? Can't see it.
Arse are in danger of free falling, City and Chels have dropped unexpected points recently, and Pool's away form is pretty dodgy.
There will be more points dropped, exactly where, god knows, but I don't think 4th place will have more than 75 points personally.

Bang on.

Very little point in trying to second guess anything. I mean Liverpool should of lost to Villa at home a couple of weeks ago and ended up drawing, then they batter Arsenal and they still look dodgy away from home.

Good fun trying to guess but futile really given how competitive the League is. Like you say there will be loads more dropped points, God knows where.

I'll get laughed at for this but I actually fancy us to beat Chelsea if Sherwood goes with a similar approach to what we saw against Newcastle. Anything is possible with Adebayor in this mood.

I'd be more confident of getting something at Chelsea then I would Anfield. I'm quietly confident regarding the NLD as well the way things are shaping up.

Knowing us we'll surprise a few in March and then drop more points at home to the likes of Sunderland!!
