Well I hope this is just an invention of a sports journo's imagination and has no substance

Tracked by Napoli and Arsenal during last summer, Belgian international midfielder Marouane Fellaini (26), long-term injured and possibly leaving Manchester United in January, at least on loan, has become a primary target for Tottenham, according to UK sources, whose management might submit a winter offer. Former Everton and Standard Liege star is currently on a deal with the club managed by Louis Van Gaal until June 2018

Probably more effective than Paulinho... I guess?

We desperately need creativity in our midfielders. This would not help though.

Use him as a forward - lump it up to him and knock downs for Paulinho.

Just need to resign Daws to lump it up to him lol

Has to be shit journalism. Wouldn't even remotely address our issues in midfield. Would rather even persist with Paulinho than him, and many of you know my take on our Brazilian volante.

We should sign Axel Witsel

Capoue-Witsel

Never been impressed with Witsel tbh. Another player who wouldn't really address any of our issues in midfield. In fact, like Fellaini, I think he'd only compound them.

We need a proper Modric replacement. Someone who can make space and time for themselves, dictate the tempo and make incisive passes.

Fellaini's showings of late haven't looked like he's even a top flight player let alone someone we'd be interested in..

Don't laugh but there was this the other day

Currently on a deal with Zenit Saint Petersbourg until June 2017, Belgian international playmaking midfielde Axel Witsel (25) is becoming more and more of an item of interest for both Juventus and Tottenham. Russian club purchased him from Benfica on a 40 million euros payment in September 2012, and are at least willing to cash the same sum, if the player would want to leave

I couldn't find any mention of the other guy mind

It's his agent using Tottenham to drum up interest for his player, seems to happen a lot.

I think they're of a higher level and shouldn't take him back now.
Everyone was purring over him when he was at Everton. He was the wrong fit for United but he will do a good job somewhere else. Not what we need though.

Wouldn't surprise me.

This is the kind of calibre of player we will attract now.

Average player for an average club.

Hopefully things will change for the better soon..,
