I have a real feeling that he will end up at Liverpool next summer as Salah's replacement. We need to strike now while we have a chance (if we do have a chance obv).
Yeah that’s likely, he said the only prem club he’d go to is them.
I honestly don’t we have a chance even if we agreed a fee with juve

I would take the gamble and bring him in if I were in charge of transfers. Such a good player for now and would already be a replacement for Son when needed too.
I know there are questions around his fitness which I understand but really for me he is the only name linked that gets me really excited. Unfortunately it’s probably got a 5% chance of happening if not less.

I cant see him, Vlahovic or Lautaro (linked by Gary Jacobs) happening.

We seem to be solely focused on young talent with potential but nowhere near established stars. We are so depressing atm.

I actually don't find signing potential, over established stars depressing.
Doing nether is a bit annoying.

I think we need a balance. Im all for signing young players with potential as long we also have a couple of more experienced/ready to go players signed too. For instance, sign Orban but also sign a really good WF.

Agreed. Wouldn't be surprised if we enquired but actually getting them is pie in the sky stuff imo. Coming round to the idea that adding just one more player shouldn't be ruled out . If we do bring in 2-3 if we manage to get some out the door, certainly not expecting us to spend a largish fee (£55m-60m+) on a single player imo. Probably see £35m-40m max outlay on a single player.

Yeah I saw the Ben Jacobs link to Lautaro. It’s probably bullshit but part of me of wonders if Lautaro and Dusan are the two other forwards WLB is refering to in his latest ITK as both would certainly be more expensive then Orban and we have had links in the past.

Ether way I agree, we never buy these sort of players so it’s sort of pointless diverting much thought toward it even as a hypothetical. I honestly don’t know how this plays out if we loose out on Orban but I’m not particularly optimistic. Chiesa tho is a complete pipe dream imo, tbh I think we will be lucky if we even get a CF let alone a WF as well.

I’d say Chiesa and Dusan are pretty much off the table at this point. Both scored last night against Udinese, although Dusan’s was a pen, and Chiesa is really looking like his old self again. They worked really well together and seemed to have excellent synergy playing in a two up top. Juve would be crazy to sell them tbh. Below is a brief highlights vid. Not that we ever thought we had a chance but still.

Doesn't mean anything. Remember we played Kane against Shaktar. All about driving the price up.

BTW, I dont remotely believe we will sign them.

Yeah like slap down 140m offer for them
I struggle to see us spending even £50 mil on a single player tbh, let alone £70 mil. Tbh if we do anymore business this window I’m expecting €30 mil on Orban, €35 ish on Schuurs and maybe a last min move for Johnson for like £40/45 mil including add ons. I don’t see us getting any players of Chiesa or Dusan’s status.

You have to remember that Juve have also said they are not for sale now even tho they were placed on the market when the window opened. Maybe there’s a chance they accept a big offer but we don’t do that so the point is moot.

I agree. I was only joking, but if we do sell hojberg, and a couple of others we should have huge money to spend so it would be good to see the club go big for once
