From (possibly faulty) memory, the keepers we've been linked with so far, by league:

England

James
Green
Hart
Foster
Jääskeläinen
Gordon
Brezovan (Swindon, presumably as No.2)

Scotland

Boruc
McGregor

Spain

Casillas (honest!)
Lopez
Canizares (?)
Kameni
Ricardo

France

Coupet
Pele
Mandanda
Lloris
Landreau (?)

Italy

Amelia (gone to Palermo)
Handanovic
Viviano (possible No. 2)
Plus some 16-year-old whose name escapes me.

Germany

Neuer

Holland

Stekelenburg
Gomes

Belgium

Steppe (possible No. 2)

I'm sure that's not quite complete, as the last time I did this someone added several more names.

boruc and gomes have looked good to me when I've seen them - Boruc being the better -

but as long as we get get in someone over 6 ft under 35 and decent I don't mind

Adler would be fine, Boruc looks awesome, based on EC and footballmanager that is... I just hope we don't buy Kameni, as the few matches I've seen him in La liga he's been less than impressive, with a few extraordinay skills, but I rather have a goalie who saves the balls he should save and is safe in the area rather than a goalie who can make the most crazy saves but sometimes(or more) makes the simplest om mistakes.

Gomes would do me fine. Think he would boss our defence, and create a real aura for himself in the premier league, and he is looking to move. Boruc is a very good keeper, but I think Stachan would rather cut off his right hand than sell him. Would love Neuer the most but I doubt he will leave Germany yet.

Kameni is available for less than half of what Gomes or Boruc would set us back. If we'd really been interested we would surely have signed him up by now. Lopez has an eye-watering buy-out clause. Neuer won't leave Schalke. Stekelenburg has dropped off the radar (there were reports, how true I don't know, that our scouts hadn't been all that struck). Most of that list is just press speculation or agent talk, I'm sure.

I'm by no means 100% convinced by Gomes, but if only by a process of elimination I'm sure he's probably top of the list.

One keeper we haven't been linked with but one I like is Volkan Demirel, the Turkish number 1.
I know he had the silly moment pushing Koller to the floor but I think he looks a potentially great keeper.

I've also been impressed with him when I've seen him in the Champions League.

Some of his saves in these Euros have been outstanding and most of the goals he has conceded i think he couldn't do much about.

He also looks a little like Desperate Dan which I'm not sure is a bad thing!!

Rene Adler would be my first choice. Then Seb Frey and Cuducini, and maybe Steve Mandanda, but he's relatively unproven.
Second choices could be Guillermo Ochoa, Carlos Kameni, Viviano.

Viviano is a good shout. I fully expect him to be one of the worlds best keepers in the next few years.

How about Robbo back on form with a solid (consistently the same players and consistently performing) defence in front of him??

As its gone quiet I'm starting to think that we are either definitely after a keeper at the Euros or we'll just buy a number 2 (probably a youngster) and hope Robbo starts performing to the level he can do again

I'm gonna go for Deadwood Dom's choice of Adler and failing that Lopez!

Do you mean because of the hype? or do you often watch Serie B matches of Brescia?

A bit of both although I only started getting hold of his domestic matches after watching italian U21 matches.

He is very hyped amongst Italians but I think i'm the only person on SC that wants him here so obviously the hype hasn't yet reached us Brits.
