Sounds more like your mum's idea of a good Friday nightIf Spurscommunity gathered up the 11 fattest and most unfit blokes to play against Spurs, i am 100% convinced, Conte will still go 3 at the back.

WOW.
Anyone else hitting refresh to see how this develops?Mate. It’s gone. Leave it.
Tbf I reckon it was because we had a clear plan set up for Son to target Holding as a weak link so celebrating that his plan had come togetherCalm after the first goal but celebrates the red card like a goal

Are you seriously trying to underline morale amongst spurs fans? We’re in a good place, be happy. Stop trying to fish for pro-Poch or anti-Conte feelingsOr the ones who were booing at half time barely 2 months into Contes reign?
Conte cam motherfuckers
SC body language experts were telling me he was only here to audition for other clubs just a few months agoEvery time I watch those I come away thinking - he really isn’t here to fuck about is he?
Often you wonder how elite managers would fare at mid-table clubs. When they don't have all the money and resources they're used to at the mega clubs.
I know we're not exactly mid-table. But this season Conte has shown what happens when an elite manager is given no preseason, a squad with tons of seemingly average players, and - most importantly - a team that has zero morale and has been rotting from the core for at least two years.
If Conte hadn't turned things around for us, I think most people wouldn't blame him. We've been on a downward slide for a long time. We'd probably point to the lack of preseason, weak mentality and quality of players.
But he's taken our basket case club and somehow, despite only two new signings, got almost every player performing considerably better than they were before.
There was a notion, not long ago, that noone could really get this squad performing. Poch, Mourinho and Nuno had all failed and the players were uncoachable.
And this despite his system replying so heavily on wing backs! Emerson has been playing better recently but I don't think anyone would be surprised to see a new WB on each side this summer.
We're obviously a work in progress and it may all go horrible wrong. This is Spurs after all.
But I'm just so happy that Conte has instilled what looks like a much stronger winning mentality in our fragile players. The results will still be a bit up and down, but if the attitude and application is right, then good things lie ahead, CL or not.
Edit: @tierhause how in the love of god is this post about Conte in the Conte thread off topic lmao
Well, Ajax are a big club but United is a whole other ball game. Will be fascinating to see how Ten Hag fares there.I often wonder the opposite too. Those 'upcoming' managers at mid-table clubs performing miracles - how would they fare at a big club with all the egos to massage.
Apart from those who were on here just a few short weeks ago, saying they've had enough of his "negative, non helpful outbursts" ?
Or those saying he needs to sign an extension or fuck off?
Or those who think he should fuck off because he has no plan B, is too rigid & inflexible in his system? And isn't good enough to beat Brighton or Burnley?
Yeah, he's loved.
It's about setting expectations. Man Utd fans have been in a delusional state since Fergie left. They have refused to believe they are no longer one of the top 3 or 4 clubs in the PL. So, they blame manager after manager for their lack of success, and then sack them, if they don't deliver a title or trophies within two seasons. It's unrealistic. They need to look at a club like Liverpool, who finally accepted that they weren't one of the elite teams in the league anymore. So, they bought in Klopp with a three year remit to rebuild the team, to get them into the top four. But the remit was what was important. They stopped being delusional. And understood that major changes can take time, and that money isn't always the solution for everything. (Yes, it is for City and Chelsea - who can and have spent a ton, but have bought in players that suit their coach's tactics). Utd have spent loads of money, but rarely does their spending align with what the coach needs or their long-term plan. So, unless Ten Haag has been given a Klopp remit, I think he is screwed. As that team needs some serious retooling.I often wonder the opposite too. Those 'upcoming' managers at mid-table clubs performing miracles - how would they fare at a big club with all the egos to massage.
I think this is where the limits of your average fans analysis skills are being illustrated though. Unless it’s a really obvious plan b, like taking off a defender or midfielder for an extra attacker, most fans won’t even pick up on it...I mean, you could be completely infatuated with the man, but I don't think it would be accurate to describe our tactics as flexible, or that we have a 'plan B'. He's very much stubborn, and you can make that observation independently of whether it is successful, or whether you like him.
