I'm feeling very calm about spurs now (in a good way). What ever happens with CL qualification everyone seems to be unified and pulling in the same direction. Thursday night really seemed to be a proper celebration of that.

Yes, that is also how I feel. I'm delighted by the progress I've seen since Conte arrived and I know we will be top 4 next season with him in charge.

Calm after the first goal but celebrates the red card like a goal
Because he knows the red is a game changer. Anyone can equalise at 1-0 down no matter how bad they're performing. Just takes one mistake or set piece. But going down to ten allowed us to take full control, even more so after scoring the second so quickly.

Which makes it all the more apt that we beat them 3 nil, the score usually awarded when an opposing team forfeits a match.
His face demonstrated that it was time to give up when the 3rd goal went in. What is brilliant is that he would have given a rousing half time speech to get them going, only to come on and we score immediately, then seeing his face having to endure another half!
Conte and the team deserve top 4 for their efforts if sustained til the end.

I see no reason for him not to love it here.

The fans love him (and we’re not as plastic and entitled as the Chelsea lot).

We have cracking training facilities he gets to go into and work in every day.

We have one of the best stadiums in the world.

He has Kane and Son (and now also Kulusevski) to play with as attackers.

He should fingers crossed be getting back in summer to get players he needs in.

And then after next season we really need to continue tweaking squad and supporting him - the only reason he got pissed off at Chelsea is they rather weirdly started undermining him and selling Matic / replacing him with Babayako (not sure if that’s right but too lazy to check lol) and not getting who he wanted, which is weird as they have the money?!?

Always found it weird how Chelsea stopped backing him after he got them league title in his first season.

Aside from this summer we shouldn’t have to spend too much in subsequent summers either, just a case of adding a couple and maybe selling a couple each summer (especially if we start to qualify for champions league again).

Apart from those who were on here just a few short weeks ago, saying they've had enough of his "negative, non helpful outbursts" ?

Or those saying he needs to sign an extension or fuck off?

Or those who think he should fuck off because he has no plan B, is too rigid & inflexible in his system? And isn't good enough to beat Brighton or Burnley?

Yeah, he's loved.

Let’s not mix up internet keyboard warriors with the full house at the stadium who serenaded him with a ton of love and adulation.

The pile of fans on here that were mortally wounded by Harry Kane last summer is of the same genre. Their wounds were so deep last summer, they surely haven't recovered, and possibly never will. It's an affront to them every time he plays, let alone scores, the Judas ****.

Or maybe it was all hyperbole too :cautious:

The sad thing is.

There will still be certain members of this site/fanbase that will get a monumental trouser twitch when Mo Po gets the boot from PSG in the not so distant future.
The sad thing is

It's you who bring up Poch in a thread about Conte and in doing so do the very thing you are complaining about.

If other's do bring up Poch when he leaves PSG, I'm sure they will do so in the Poch thread and it's easy enough for anyone to ignore the monumental trouser twitching by not looking in there.

We've got some really positive news about Conte, let's focus on that.

Yikes.

Surely you see the reason I mentioned him?

@sammyj see what I' mean now about getting involved in serious discussions?

I dont disagree with the point you made. Im sure it'll happen.

Just want to focus on Conte and the great news if he does stay as i can see us winning something with him, and Kane staying too if we get top 4.

Its exciting times again to be a Spurs fan, just need to beat Burnley today and hope Arsenal slip up.

Thought his tweak to have Lucas hug the touchline with Emerson moving infield really helped the buildup down the right in the second half and gave Lucas room to create havoc and not force him into tough decisions with the ball. Made it a lot simpler for him, and allowed Emerson to link well with others as he has really impressed me with recently.
