I 100% agree, but that happening would be a disaster in my eyes. Even if Conte leaves, there are better options. And I will always love poch for what he did here. What’s even crazier is it makes Levy look like an idiot for sacking him in the first place, yet he’s running back to him chasing something Poch accomplished with a much better squad that what we currently have.

Not to mention making the last 3 years a total waste of time.

PSG would be a weird move for Conte. We have a far higher ceiling than them simply in virtue of being in the Premier League. If he goes to PSG he will be judged only by how well he does in the Champions League. Everything would come down to a handful of matches in the Champions League. Finishing 2nd or 3rd with us > than winning the league with PSG.

Conte is about the worst choice psg could make, even worse than Poch was. Was easy to see Poch failing there when he was appointed, the players would never adapt to his type of play. Now imagine psg players adapting to being micro managed by Conte, the demands he will place on their fitness, the structure of their play etc
I just can't see either Conte or psg being stupid enough to think it's a good idea

The same source says Zidane is PSG's top choice. With these rumors only coming from France it just feels like PSG are using Conte's name in attempt to put pressure on Zidane to take the job. The Italian press is notoriously close to Conte's situation and if this was remotely true we'd be hearing it from them.

The fact Alasdair has said that people around Conte are denying these rumors is the most important thing right now.

I just can’t believe people think he’d go there. Hes not going to play in some farmers league. He likes the competitiveness of the PL. Why would he go there? Makes zero sense.

I’ll say it again for the hundredth time. People need to stop following the aggregators and taking what they say at face value and go to the actual source. They’re nothing but shit stirrers.

No problem with Son / Kane dropping deep to get the ball if something's happening ahead of them. It never is. The only way to break down a team defending deep is to occupy their defenders / holding midfielders in different and surprising ways. We're awful at that.

Didn't once see PEH or Bentancur break the lines yesterday. Or, against Brighton.

Kane dropping deep is fine if he has runners off him, which leave their defenders confused on who to track; Kane or the runner. What happens all too often is that Kane drops, and the defender can safely watch him knowing there's no threat in behind.

This is where Lucas can be effective. At least he has the ability to pick up the ball and run at the heart of a defence from deep, forcing defence and midfielders to commit in order to stop him. This then opens up space for Kane or Son or Kulu.

3-5-2 may be fun.

If the midfield two are just gonna sit centrally and not commit themselves, then I'd try Bergy up top with Kane for a few games, with Lucas, Son and Kulu roaming behind them.

I won't hold my breath, though.

Yep Kane dropping deep is fine if those around him would make the right movement. But as you say they don't, and there aren't enough natural runners (Son + Lucas).

In the end it's just a reflection of player quality. You can't really coach offence..

No idea if there's any truth in all of this but can't shake off the feeling Levy would be quite happy for Conte to go if it means he can bring in Poch, especially for nothing. Half jokingly thinking once Ndombele and Lo Celso are back he'd tell Poch their his signings and to get on with it haha.

Always said Conte would be looking for a way out as soon as he got a whiff the height of our ambition is top 4. Don't know if that's happened but you'd think he'd have been given some idea from Paratici as to how we are going to go about things in the summer.
On the other hand, it could all be rubbish, who knows.

you can coach attacking football and maybe a bit more risk taking - but you can't make up for lack of ability in the end -

No one has got beyond the forwards in the last two games

It's Le Parisian, not GFFN
The Conte story is le Parisian, the story Levy has been courting Poch for months and convincing him to return is from GFF’s “sources”.

Also, are we all taking GFF’s word for the translation of said source, or have Le Parisian posted an English article? I haven’t seen one yet, not saying it doesn’t exist.

Not to mention making the last 3 years a total waste of time.

It wouldn't be, though. I'm not an advocate of a Poch return, but there's a lot that's changed in 3 years:

- He'd been free to get the Man Utd job he was flirting for on three separate occasions (before and during Ole's caretaker role, then when Ole was sacked, then now - instead of ten Hag). Surely that message is now loud and clear.
- He'd been free to get the Real Madrid job he was also hard for on a few different occasions, and not been offered it.
- The PSG job was always going to be a tempting itch that's now been scratched.
- The "won no trophies" thing is a monkey off his back
- It's not so rosey lusting after a team of Neymars and Messi's when they won't follow your game plan and you're not allow to bench them
- You appreciate what you had more when you try different things.

In addition, the club have also tried a few different high-profile options that haven't (so far) been vast improvements.

To reiterate, it wouldn't solve anything for me - but the last 3 years has been very productive for all involved. It reminds me of an ex of mine who has my first proper relationship (and vice-versa). She never appreciated the relationship near the end, but would have since done so. Everyone changes with experience, and experience is never a waste.

Whether or not these rumours are true, they are damaging the club by running it through the mud at a time in the season where we really do not need these types of distractions.

The thing that infuriates me the most is that they are coming from Conte’s camp and no effort is being made to definitively shut them down. Even Alasdair Gold said that conte’s people simply saying the rumours aren’t true isn’t enough to dispel them. We’ve seen absolutely no commitment from Conte. We’ve actually had the opposite.

I must say, if this is “Conte’s way” then I’ve had enough. He isnt “doing us a favour” by being our manager. We are paying him nearly half a million pounds a week to do the job.

I truly hope that if he does walk away, he takes that utter fraud Paratici with him.
