Conte will do well at Bayern, if Alonso leaves at the end of the season which is highly likely, it’s back to a 1 horse race in the Bundesliga. He’ll be backed with whatever he asks for personnel wise, and this is why he’ll succeed there because that’s the type of manager he is.

I think a lot is being made of this one horse race in Germany thing. I know they've won 11 straight but Bayern only managed to seal the title last season on the final day because Dortmund blew it in their final game.

True but Dortmund are currently 17 points off the pace, and 9 behind Bayern.
It’s a 1-team league when only one team has the resources to compete consistently.

I can definitely imagine Conte being on a shortlist for Bayern, him being one of those prestige coaches who does the rounds of Europe’s big clubs.
Although as others have mentioned, his record in European competition is underwhelming compared to other elite category coaches. Also, it’s been a number of years since he won anything outside his native Italy.
I think for Bayern winning the league every year must be seen as an absolute minimum now. Not just because they’ve won it eleven times in a row, they’ve won it eighteen times in 21st century alone. The next best are Dortmund who have won it three times in that period.

Yeah. I think there can be exceptional seasons, like we had here with Leicester, but the long term trends are more revealing. Bayern have won 75% of all Bundesliga titles this century. And obviously over the last decade the percentage is 100%.
That doesn’t necessarily mean that the overall quality in the league is poor. But it does make it the epitome of a “1 team league” in the sense that one team, and one team only, completely dominates it.
I suppose that’s natural when winning your domestic league every year starts to feel like a formality, rather than a special achievement.

Not sure they aren't fussed. Look at the reaction of the players, fans, hierarchy et al. They seem fussed to me. Muller was livid after a loss the other week. Plus Kane and Tuchel will be desperate to win the title. Something else is very wrong there at the moment.
True, but not being fussed about winning it, doesn’t mean you’re also not fussed about not winning it. In fact when one expects something as a given, one can become even more irate if it is denied to them.
It’s like the angry husband who expects his wife to cook him dinner every night. He may consider it no big deal that she cooks for him every evening, but he might get very angry if he comes home one night and there’s no dinner on the table.

The reality is that their team is largely bang average, bar Kane, Sane and Neuer.
Really? I would happily take musiala, de ligt, kim min jae, alphonso davies, kimmich. Just to name a few.
