I think we need to be really careful about what we want to happen now, let's not rush letting him go now and appointing somebody because we're mad. The season is as close to a write off as we can get, maybe we can sneak top4 but if we make a managerial appointment now, then we're at risk of a short term solution delaying what needs to really be done and that is an absolute clear-out. If Conte goes immediately then Paratici probably needs to resign immediately too because I very much doubt he will get around that ban. We need to be clear on our next steps and not fill a position and then hire a DoF that is the complete opposite of the appointment we have just made. We need interweaved decisions not flippant ones to appease anger.

Long term changes are needed, I'd rather continue with how things are for the next 10 weeks if we make the right decision for the next 5 years. So many were sick of the idea of the new iteration of a protect after Poch, well look where trying to rush to the finish has got us. Our managerial appointment has to be cohesive with our footballing structure. Levy needs to dust that manifesto off and actually read it himself this time.

Yeah I agree. Unless we have already a very clear idea of who we want to come in and we know he will come then I think we should probably just stick. As much as we seem somewhat in limbo I think Conte works best with one game a week and I do believe our best chance of top four is probably with him over Mason. I completely concede that neither option is ideal and if we do know who we want to come in and they will come now then great, let’s move. But I really really don’t believe that’s the case.

There are clubs out there with far worse players than we have and the manager is getting them to perform.

For me managing a club like ours is the real benchmark for a manager as you can’t just throw the chequebook at it as Levy won’t let you.

So you have to work magic within the constraints you have. Clearly it’s not for everyone even the so called best managers in the world that people say Conte is one of. For me if you are considered one of the best managers in world football then you prove it irrespective of the club you are at.

What we have seen from Conte has been no better than any manager in recent memory and at times considerably worse.
