They pass it around like that cause Conte drilled that into them.It was almost comical to watch the square, slow passes across the back 3, inviting pressure, losing possession in dangerous areas. It was happening every time we had the ball with Lloris or the defence. Every single time.
Now if I were the manager I'd have seen it twice and been screaming at them to cut it out. Then I'd have made subs.
It's almost like they (Dier and Romero in particular) think they can just do what they want. Putting team-mates under pressure with ridiculous, obvious passes to someone facing their own goal!! Surely they're not being coached to play this way?! I lost count of how many times we gave the ball away; any side with half an ounce of quality would've punished us.
I'm sick of it. The second half last night was the final straw; I'm fed up of Dier strolling around acting like Franco Baresi when someone needs to tell him he's Frank Spencer.
De Zerbi will be licking his lips watching that. He'll know exactly what to do Saturday - press high because these clowns think they're good enough to play round it but they can't. And when the ball does go long, Son & Kulusevski and both wing-backs will let you have it back really soon.
Saturday could be the nadir. I really fear a heavy loss and the place will explode.
Mourinho, Santo, Conte, Stellini. The Tottenham way eh Levy?? You're a disgrace and you should move aside and take most of these overpaid, shoulder shrugging, pampered wankers with you.
Conte's teams have to invite the opposition onto them first.
Any competent coach would have decided to get a third midfielder on and told them to drop in and help get the team into Everton's half and stay there.
Then again, we haven't been coached ti do that
