Wish Dier well. Like to remember him as the DM in his early years with us as no one wanted to come down the middle with him waiting there. Some crunching tackles during those days. Great servant of the club who was derailed somewhat by both sickness and injury but always gave his all for the badge.

Like Hugo I wish he'd got an amazing send off. He's been through a lot with this club and was a big part of the Poch revolution.

Great professional, great attitude but sadly he's not a fit for the new system. I hope he had a great time in Germany and wherever else he goes after that.

Probably the biggest casualty of Ange's era, he had some very good spells under both Conte and Mourhino as well as being a leader throughout his time.

Good player, just not suited to our play, I think he'll do fine in Germany, good luck to him.

I think it's a good deal for everyone involved. Also buy before you sell, getting Dragusin in before letting Dier go.

Best of Luck, Eric. You gave everything to the club in the time you were here, Spurs through and through. Top bloke and one of the good guys. His presence around the place will be missed by many. You will always be welcomed back. Hope you do well in Germany.
Now it really feels like the end of an era.

Really pleased for him, ten years at Spurs and he gets a move to Bayern Munich, I don't think we let him down, he deserves that.
Cheers Eric and all the best for the future.

Just a lovely result for all parties really.

He's quite clearly a cultured lad having grown up in Portugal and he's clearly got a head on his shoulders; he gets to live and experience another great city in Europe. We get his wages off the bill, we move on a player that doesn't suit our new style, we get some money for him and we get to remember that he was a fundamental part as both a CB and a CDM of some of the most joyful Spurs teams of the last 20 years.

Thanks Eric. I love Eric Dier. Eric Dier loves me. West Ham debut goal will live long in my memory.

Will miss him so much. Gave his all every time. Even when he wasn't at his best I still smiled to see him in the lineup.

I just loved how much he cared about our club because it was his club too.

It's a shame how it panned out in the end, but for a long time I thought Eric Dier was a quality and underrated player. I will always respect him as a Spurs player and thank him for his service. He deserves nothing but our respect and well wishes as he embarks on the next stage of his career. Given also that I live in Germany and am often forced to watch Bayern Munich, I guess I will still get to see more of him!

See you soon Eric.

I love Eric Dier, Eric Dier loves me. A fabulous servant to the club. A Quixotic character determined to tilt at the metaphorical windmill of being a central defender even when it was going all wrong. He had his moments as a CB but he had some really great games as a holding midfielder, integral to our success in that period. A great debut and a fine Spurs career all in all. Best of luck to the guy, always a gentleman.

State of this tweet...embarassing club

Wow. Way to act classy whoever wrote that tweet.

So it obviously appears our clubs supporters are far happier for Eric and this deal to happen than their supporters.

By the way, I echo all the sentiments that thank Eric for his contributions and wish him all the best. Great club man.
