Another good game. So chuffed for him that he's established as our best defender. Biggest compliment i can give hime is that i feel relieved when i see his name on the team sheet.

He's a leader, love him

If the award for player of the season was awarded now and didn't involve half of South Korea voting, Dier would deserve it.

And I was one hoping we would sell him before the start of the season.

He's getting better and better in the middle of a back 3. He doesn't have to worry to much about getting turned with Romero an Davies ready to cover. He's calm and confident with the ball at his feet and picks out some cracking passes. Such an impressive return to form for him after a couple of tough years. Speaks volumes for his attitude and courage that he's turned things around so effectively. Shame Mourinho and Nuno couldn't work out that he needed to be in a 3.

First goal is on him. Im not blaming him fir anything else though. Reggie was pushing everyone up and was the one who played Sancho onside.

His CB partner let Ronaldo go for the third.

Anyone who has played football or has any real football knowledge will suss out /know... that Dier is not good enough...stiff as a porn stars cock , and plays like s cardboard cutout.

And yet, we have people fawning over Romero who has caused us more problems than Dier, and when Dier was out we were worse defensively than we were tonight.

In actual fact I reckon United scored from the 3 chances they created. Outside of that they did very little.

Do this every time.

He plays decent, usually not even that well, for 2-3 games and everyone forgets that he's a fucking liability at the back with a big mistake in him who loses concentration regularly and might as well get a deck chair out and work on his tan whenever the opposition have a set piece.

He's not good enough and he will never be good enough.

Never really rated DIer but to be fair he has done much better in a 3. Still not convinced he is some that can be relied upon over a course of a season. We had 2 Roll Royce CB's in Vertonghen and Alderweirald and lets be honest going from them to relying upon the likes Dier, Sanchez and Davies is a massive downgrade. Yes not easy replacing those two and Romero, although has things to work on, gives me hope, but we need further strengthening in that area.

Add that to losing peak Rose and the brilliant Walker and we’ve downgraded massively on our left/right/wing/backs…

Has improved and fine to keep as a squad player but next season we should be going into the season with minimum 2 new starting CB’s to play alongside Romero.

The man isn't good enough. Never had been, never will be. Time to cut our losses. Pretty sure Lampard would take him for a decent fee. He's slow, not agile, poor defensive footwork, poor reading of play. The only good thing is he passes the ball like a midfielder. 3 at the back seems to cover defenders so don't be fooled by us being decent at times with him in there.

He’s been good in that role this season. Not his best game but unlike some he’s got more than enough credit in the bank for it to just be written off as a blip. He’s been one of our most important players this season

There's about six more pressing issues in the team than Eric. He's a good defender who's had a good season, probably his best since about 2018.
