I wouldn’t be surprised if he stays and plays that he gets the Sanchez treatment from the fans. Especially if we are losing. Sanchez will probably get the same abuse again too. No excuse but people are fed up with them.

We shouldn’t pay these players off. Don’t register them, Pay them their basic wage and tell them to stay away from the club.
What would be the point? If we're paying them to not be registered we might as well pay them off their contract

Because that financially benefits them as they can find another club to pay their wages on top of the pay off. And so all of our deadwood will just refuse to move in their final year knowing we'll just pay them off.

I hope he never plays for us again, if I’m brutally honest.

What do you mean refuse to leave? The suggestion was to not pay them off or register them so they are still getting paid but can't play. In that scenario they wont be leaving anyway. It benefits nobody to be paying them and still having them around. If we don't register them I don't see what difference it makes to pay them off.

Like I said not really about diers situation more about future players/agents that think they can get paid off from us then rock up at another club and get paid off them as well.
Still doesn't make a difference to us if they go and get paid elsewhere. It's still pointless to be paying a player who isn't registered.

If you're Dier now and you know we'll rip up all or a part of your contract the next day, why would you leave tonight, whether that's on loan or on any free transfer? Just wait for us to rip it up, then move somewhere on a free and get a fat signing on bonus and wages on top of your pay off.

If we keep ripping up contracts, the same will happen to Reguilon, Tanguy and GLC next year. Why would you leave? We'll just rip up the contract. It's about the precedent it sets and will cost us more in the long term.

Because you can't be registered to play for a new club in most leagues once the windows closed???

Well if that were true, then why would Dier agree to any contract rip up that isn't in full? And if it was in full then how would that benefit us in any way?

We've literally already done it with Rose, Aurier and Doherty

Hi bud. My point is that if players/agents know that their players won’t get an early payout and won’t even train with first team maybe they will try harder to get a move in the transfer window.
