Think he looks to be in good shape, and I approve of him slowly transforming into Zangief:

He used to have a very handy turn of pace. I used to be more bothered about the lapses in concentration and the way he would be bullied by certain centre forwards.

So is Eric available to play tonight? Or does he still have a hearing looming in relation to him climbing into the stands "to protect his brother"? Feels weird that we are months down the line and we don't know if this matter is now swept under the carpet. At least with Dele the verdict has been made and we know he is available after tonight's game.

Had a good game. Let Pogba get past him for the pen too easily but needed to discipline himself to not tackle or pull him and risk a pen.

Got done and made a mistake, played well I thought.
After injury, loss of form and lockdown break, we need to cut him some slack.

Quite impressed today. Diers problem has always been lapses in concentration. Arguably there was one today, but if he can master those lapses, he can become a high quality centre back.

Thought he was a little unlucky but quite encouraging in all honesty, had a really good game minus the penalty.

Thought it was a very tired challenge and moment. It looked like him a Sanchez could form a partnership
Yep. Thing was we had a defender blocking the front post. Once Pogba has gone past him just let him go.

Other than that it was a good performance.

He played very well overall, but I don't actually play football (besides the recreational match every three months or so) and even I knew what Pogba was about to do. I suppose some situations are easier to judge externally.

He ws left isolated against a fresh player. Its a definite penalty but one where I have sympathy for Dier.
