Prime target for takeover now......Probably Amazon
Amazon certainly have to be up there in terms of naming rights although I'm not convinced that they would be interested in a takeover. Obviously Bezos could easily afford to do it but I'm not sure that he would.

Levy"s ( ENIC) problem is that he expects champagne football and results on a lemonade budget.

He continually fails to back whichever manager he appoints and continually fails to move fringe players on so we have a lean and fresh squad.

He lucked out with Pochettino and I don't think that will happen again under his watch.

You think all the problems during Jose's time was to do with financial backing?

Bear in mind we have the 3rd highest net spend over the last 2 seasons.

My only real point there was that Jol hasn’t lost any key players, he just started a serving consecutive season really poorly but didn’t get a second consecutive chance to turn it around.

Jol lost Carrick, definitely a key player. But he also gained Berbatov that summer.

Jol got sacked in 2007, an entire season and a bit after he both got Berbatov and lost Carrick, so I hope nobody would try to link his departure to having sold Carrick as that would be highly disingenuous.

Despite him being a wonderful guy Jol simply wasn’t good enough as he subsequently proved at other clubs.

Perhaps in combination with a London NFL franchise... That would be a tasty package for an American billionaire

lol he's not
He’s not? The man sogned the club up tp help destroy the game and you say he’s not the biggest problem at the club? Bar all his other egregious transgressions against the club on the football side of things this is by far the worst and he must be forced to exit immediately when it inevitably blows up in all their faces.

If only he had backed Pochettino
I know that this conversation has been done to death but whilst I agree that some signings were less than inspiring, perhaps Poch should have had a plan B because sometimes it just isn't possible to bring in the players that a manager wants.

The conversation has been done to death. If a handful of fans still don't get it then it's best to just ignore them.

True but also shows Pochettino's principles and drive.

I know - I enjoy chatting with most people on here, including @tototoner. I just feel like it was square pegs and round holes. Levy couldn't provide Poch with who he wanted and Poch wouldn't accept anyone else so something had to give.
