Maybe I’m missing something but why are people talking as though they’re about to takeover the club vs. buying a minority stake?

Wishful thinking.

Plus, it would not make much sense to purchase a minority share, without some provision for buying a majority stake at some point.

There is no real value in owing a minority stake until a club is sold - and given how few potential buyers there are, that's more risk than its worth for someone who could afford to own the entire team.

Why on earth would Levy leak this?! Makes no logical sense.

Most fans especially the social media generation are so desperate for trophies they will gladly sell their soul to any owner. We’ve already seen the reaction on social media tonight and we’ve seen what happened with Newcastle, Chelsea and City too.

Now this story has leaked, if they don’t invest in us and go to another club, it will result in even more backlash against ENIC and Levy.
