Absolutely, Chelsea don't care, City don't care, Sky don't care, the Big 4 don't care, the Premier League don't care and just invited the Saudis in to join the other oil giants.
Winner takes it all, I want us on top not also ran non entities who are now a banter club to sides like Chelsea and City

I appreciate your honesty mate and while I don't share your feelings I understand where you are coming from

I don't believe Abramovich was ever an option. It's all speculation. Chelsea were days from bankruptcy, had a better squad and in a nicer part of town, and picked up for peanuts.

Yeah, but we're not going to bridge that gap, so am all for creating gaps from those below us. Just as those above us created gaps
The thought of West Ham being bought out and we end up in their shadow sends shivers of fear down my spine ?

So your happy to reduce our chances of winning something (which are already pretty low) so we can consolidate 6th place? If that's the case why aren't you happy with the running of the club as that's what we've basically been doing for the last 10 years. I totally understand wanting new owners to push the club forward but all the ESL would have done is locked us in even further to where we are now as a club.

This.

I feel ESL supporters on here are forgetting that in the ESL there will also be losers. Us and Arsenal were basically offered a place to become cannon fodder for the teams who outspend us.

I've said many times I'm not a supporter for trophies but fuck I'd find it hard to be in a closed shop league where we lost 80% of the time. The fan experience would be horrendous.

So the same as we are now then closed shop league whether ESL or EPL we can't win it

Because I don't see it like that. I think we would have more chance of a trophy from within ESL than without.
One Lge Cup in 20 years I reckon we could do better than that within the ESL, we couldn't do much worse. Maybe also we could get new owners. I don't know, but for me the gamble would have been worth it, so I agree with ENIC on that one

Was just watching the Overlap on YouTube ( which is very good) and some interesting points made. Was confirmed Newcastle can spend £190m straight off then you’re talking probably £70m net till they grow the revenue. To me their situation is more Everton than City or Chelsea for at least 5 years maybe more. But what it does highlight is how crucial growing your revenue is. Not just for the obvious reason of having more to spend but in the circumstance we were taken over by huge funds we’d be near enough ready to go straight away and could do in 2-3 years what it might take Newcastle 10. So things like Boxing NFL are just huge pluses for the club .

The trust were great on last word on spurs, made that pod listenable for once.

I'm so glad the club have agreed to meet them. If ever an olive branch was needed its now.

Do we think much will change because normally it's just a load of spiel to settle the natives down but everything stays the same.

Watch their commercial income go through the roof with dodgy sponsorship deals etc. Plenty of ways to artificially inflate your revenue when you have a whole state behind you.

I dont know but its a start.

It's not like they're going anywhere so we have to get behind the trust and hope the pressure works.

The fact they have convinced the prem that the PIF is a totally separate entity to the Saudi state when they’re both led by the same Sheik, and everyone with half a brain cell knows that’s bullshit, says slot about how they will operate.

Will it? All these projections I see are based on Newcastle’s current revenue. Next season St James Park and their shirts will be plastered with Saudi Arabian companies for ridiculous sponsorship fees.

I wonder who the naming rights will be as that will unquestionably happen. Saudi airlines are just called Saudi. Imagine trying to maintain you’re nothing to do with the state of Saudi and calling stadium Saudi stadium lol.

Anyone that is for ESL on any level is not a supporter of Tottenham or Football.

He has spoken.
