This may come as a shock to you guys but players do sometimes accept pay cuts in order to get a transfer to a team where they get to play. But I find it hard to belive that we will sign Dzeko.

Mentioned earlier in the thread. Someone said that they heard he was on £50k pw. Got to be rubbish, he must be on more than that.
It was me. My bad. It was based on earlier windows when it was mentioned that he was only on that much, but seems to have been proved as rubbish.

Would love this to be true but can't see us getting anywhere near his wages. Having said that, maybe if we pay City a decent fee this time they may pay his contract off, and all the uber money clubs already have a surplus of top quality strikers, with Lewandowski heading to Bayern soon. Although Dortmund might see him as the perfect replacement for Lewandowski.

Get City to subsidise his wage, they're probably going to have to do that with most of the players they ship out.

Why is Eden Dzeko not a regular at Man City? my guess would be because the rest of his game isn't up to scratch ie he does work hard enough out of possession like Defoe Soldado type strikers they purely goal scorers. I think we need a different sort of striker, Benteke would be my choice.

Benteke would not be a starter at Manchester City IMO.
