Agree completely, he would be a complete luxury signing. I’m already sceptical if Ange will even play Gio and Maddison together as I suspect he will prefer a more B2B in that role, after all he’s been playing Sarr and Skipp there. If we got Eze that would be 3 top quality players rotating for one position. We also should not be bringing him in at the expense of Gio. I know that Eze can play LW but Solomon and Son are both best there.

If Eze was a RWF then I would be 100% behind getting him, would be an excellent buy but as it is it makes very little sense to me. Anyway I don’t see CP selling at all regardless what CAA Base do.

I don’t think we’ll get him but imo he’s a more powerful athlete than GLC and covers more ground so more suitable to play in a 3 with Madds

He’s also perfect for the LWF role, and Solomon can play RWF.

Id sign him. He helps solve two problems, we need multi functional players, and he’s a brilliant one

Brilliant player but in light of Caicedo moving for £110m and Paqueta likely moving for £90m+, surely Palace would be asking a small fortune. Prior to those moves I was already thinking it'd be £70m, now we're probably talking £80m+.

Is he that effective on the left wing also? I always thought he was best as a 10.

Was split better AM and LW for QPR and definitely has a tendency to drift out wide for Palace. He’s a pretty natural fit for the system.

This is the problem we have. Kane going doesn’t give us the money to do much. It’s probably why we are hearing links to cheaper punts.

Only hope here is that CAA Base can seriously help with the deal.

Also Eze has been refusing to sign a new contract, so I think £70m could be achievable

I’m sure I read he has a 50m buy out clause

I'm not sure from a squad point of view he makes sense but Eze is a dream signing for me, such a fun player to watch.

If there is a clause we should 100% be going for him. Looks ready to explode (just getting in the England scene) and can play 8/10 and wide due to his all round skill set. Quality HG player.

That's how you use this fee to help benefit the club going forward.

It does, that was the whole point, it should allow us to give sizeable first payments on 3 players, but Levy!

This signing would ruin my fantasy team plans.

But needs must. I really doubt Palace will sell him cheap, especially if Olise ends up going too (who has a low release clause?)

I don’t think it matters what Levy acts like. Look how much players are going for right now. Caiceido 111 million, Rice 107 million. These are decent players, but they aren’t game changers. Add either of them to our team and they don’t really improve us that much.

Eze isn’t going for less than 70-80 imo. I just don’t see us spending that much on him.

I love Eze as a player but Olise makes so much more sense for us. Great natural RW, a few years younger, still HG and apparently has a release clause of £35m.

The only two drawbacks to that deal I see are the fact the fee needs paid up front, which will now not be a problem after getting most of the Kane money now. Secondly would be the fact he’s injured, but really that is not much of a worry for us. Need to be thinking long term.

What we should do, in my opinion, is spend a a big majority of the money on top class single player. Eze would be a great shout, even if it means selling the sellable Lo Celso. You know what you are getting and what you are getting is quality, and home-grown quality at that. And another alternative - the best? would be to blow the lot on a central defender.

Guess the spoiler.

Eze is a lovely footballer, but why does anyone think we'd be trying to sign him? And where does he even fit?

Linked by Ally Gold. Can play the attacking roles in a midfield three and also the wide areas due to his dribbling ability. Looks ready to go up a level.
