Report from Gazzetta Dello Sport originally.

Another older gamble and straight from Serie A. Undoubtable scoring record this season though and has a good final ball. Definitely used to play as a winger or attacking midfielder so has a lot of skills in his locker. I would't be completely against it, but it looks from the outside as short termism which hopefully isn't our MO. He's still absolutely rapid!

I really don't see how Arsenal are 'in the race' when they have no Manager or DOF.

This signing makes such sense to me. I have been suggesting him for a few months now. If we got him and Arp say with a loan back. Mertins is quality, cheep, experienced and can play across the front three. If we can't get Martial then we should get him and put our big bucks in the CM. Also, even tho he's older, he's still quick. Would be a very savvy signing.

Also, we need to up our Belgian quota now Toby and Dembele are most likely off.

As a Belgian I may be a bit biased, but we should have a look at Dennis Praet. Had a very good season for Sampdoria and is linked with transfer to Juve, Napoli etc. Could fill a number of roles and there still is room for improvement. Was recently praised by his manager for his professional mentality.

Mertens I am not sure about. Can be brilliant at times, but has frequent off-days. Think he may be a bit lightweight for PL.

I still have an anderlecht shirt with Praet on the back, my girlfriend is from Belgium so also follow them quite a bit. Was a big fan of his but worried he had stagnated and he had a rocky first season at Sampdoria. Glad he had a good season as it seems he is finally starting to make good on his potential. But as you say, lots of talk about him going to Juve this summer.

Agree that Dries blows hot and cold, but for 25 mil I would take the punt. Your not going to find a better forward for that sort of money. And his versatility would be very useful. Obviously if it was between him and Martial I would choose the latter but I still think he would be a good choice for the money if we can't get the Frenchman.

This guy is one of the few old players who I wouldn't mind to have at Spurs. I have always liked him.

No it’s not! As far as I am aware, nothing to the story

And for those reason I really don’t think this will happen
Sarri plays very high intensity football, I don't think he would struggle too much playing for Poch, and his goal/assist tally in the CL is not too shabby ether. Seems it's not happening anyway. Although I still think he would be good for us.
