(mods - i've put this in General Football but please move if that's wrong)
Obviously we're all here because we support the Tottingham Hotspurs, but is there any other team you follow? If so, why and how did your support for them come about?
My second team is Barnet FC for two reasons. Firstly, I lived in the area for a few years and they would have been the closest team to me (with the exception of Spurs) so I started reading up on them in the local papers. Secondly, and because of the first reason, I managed them in Football Manager and successfully drove them clear of relegation in my first season and got them into the play off in my second. As any Football Manager will testify, the bond between manager and team is so strong it regularly enters the real world. (The same thing happened to me when I managed Northampton Town in Championship Manager 2 in 1997).
I now look at the scores to see how the mighty Bees are doing and i've gone as far as to have their news beamed to my iphone courtesy of Sky Sports Football Score Centre. Next up I need to actually go to a home game!
