(mods - i've put this in General Football but please move if that's wrong)

Obviously we're all here because we support the Tottingham Hotspurs, but is there any other team you follow? If so, why and how did your support for them come about?

My second team is Barnet FC for two reasons. Firstly, I lived in the area for a few years and they would have been the closest team to me (with the exception of Spurs) so I started reading up on them in the local papers. Secondly, and because of the first reason, I managed them in Football Manager and successfully drove them clear of relegation in my first season and got them into the play off in my second. As any Football Manager will testify, the bond between manager and team is so strong it regularly enters the real world. (The same thing happened to me when I managed Northampton Town in Championship Manager 2 in 1997).

I now look at the scores to see how the mighty Bees are doing and i've gone as far as to have their news beamed to my iphone courtesy of Sky Sports Football Score Centre. Next up I need to actually go to a home game!

My second team in England is Wycombe Wanderers, because I was born in High Wycombe. Dad's from Southgate, North London and has been Spurs all his life so Spurs were always destined to be my first team out of the two. Moving abroad to Bergen, Norway as a young child also helped cement the Spurs part of me because several of our games were broadcast in Norway and Wycombe weren't.

In Norway I only have one team, SK Brann, with whom I've experienced everything from near relegation (2002 and this year, 2010) to league titles (2007). Even more of a rollercoaster than Spurs!

And because of marathon FM games I now also look out for Hyde United, Hampton & Richmond Borough, Welling United and Braintree Town

Same - many's the time i've jumped on the 97 from the billet to Brisbane Road

One that sticks in my mind, back before the place was renovated (think they didn't have a south stand at the time so each ball over was ending up in Coronation Gdns) was Peter Shiltons 1000th league game. He touched it twice and both times the roof came off the place

I thought the concept of having more than one club was alien to those outside of Ireland, as it's 'hilarious' to point out otherwise?

Spurs and Celtic.

Although after last night's game I should probably keep that quiet.

I always used to like AC Milan as a kid when Football Italia was on every sunday. I wouldn't necessarily claim they're my second team because I don't follow their results closely anymore, but it's as close as it gets

When I was a lad it was 2/6d to get in at WHL in the boys entrance, you could get in the O's for 1/6d and you got a programme included at the turnstile.

They used to have a collection at half-time walking round the touchline with fellows holding a blanket to help pay the clubs debts.

Exeter City, they're not so much my second team as my first, sort of joint with this lot. Its the team i grew up with, my local team, the team i see the most of.

I love Spurs, but i also love Exeter City

The way i see it is that ECFC is like my mother, its family, where i grew up, born into it. Spurs is like my wife, i chose them and fell in love when i was 5 (yes, Spurs is a paedo) and i got stuck with them forever and ever.

So not a second team, just my other team.

Woking. My Grandpa is a Woking fan and he took me to my first ever game of football when i was 6 years old in 1996. It was Woking vs. Altrincham and it finished 7-1 to the Cards, still to this day their highest even winning margin.

I still follow them a bit but i haven't been to a game in years.

I never had a 2nd team apart from whoever happened to be playing arsenal on a saturday.
I moved from Camden down to Bexley a good few years back, and was surprised at how many non league teams there were. Welling United are the nearest and i have watched them a good few times over the years. But i can't get excited over them as they play in red, its a colour i never wear.
Tottenham played Dartford in a pre season friendly a few years back, they play in a cracking new stadium and its a great place to watch footie. Standing on the terraces again like in the good ole days, great stuff.
