Apparently was in our reserves? Iv have never heard of him, got it from the article about Gilberto

Once he makes his debut, Gilberto will be our first Brazilian international in Premier League action – recent Brazilians in the reserve squad including Rodrigo Defendi and Diego Bortolozzo didn’t make that step.

Signed him from Treviso in summer of 2002 I think. It was about the same time that Robbie Keane signed. Don't think he lasted very long with us. Haven't a clue where he went after that.

Was there until summer 2005 and then signed for Royale Union Saint Gilloise
Was there a season and then signed for CS Petange in Luxembourg in July 2006
In July 2007 he moved to SC Wiedenbruck 2000 in the Oberliga West in Germany

2007/08 SC Wiedenbruck 2000 - 5 Apps, 0 goals
2005/06 Royale Union Saint Gilloise - 11 Apps, 0 goals

Yeah, he did. Definitely made at least half a dozen appearances, mostly in his first season.
