He was in his car in the traffic, down the highstreet and some twat who was a tottenham fan started punching his window because he would not give him a signature. What a disgrace.

More likely an E-bayer.
Nearly got into fisticuffs last year when some guy was telling me about how he's always down at the traning ground and how he hated this player or that player because they wouldn't give him an autograph which he then puts straight on ebay anyway.
I asked to see his autographs and when he showed me I ripped them up:grin:

Punching the window, like that's gonna make Steed wind the window down and sign!

Never really understood the appeal of autographs. "Wow, I met this famous guy and to prove it I got him to put an unreadable squiggle on a scrap of paper for me." Am I missing the point?

I used to drink at uni with a few guys who would go to incomprehensible lengths to get their photos taken with the likes of David Dickinson and similar c-list celebrities who toured the universities when I was a student.

My thinking was always, 'unless they are sad enough to at some point sit in a darkened room for 45 minutes staring at that photo, how could it possibly be worth waiting 45 minutes to take the photo'.

And you are perfetly entitled to do so, nevertheless It did happen.
It wasn't his entire collection just the three or four he had with him, and it did get a bit hairy and I more than likely would think twice before doing it again, but he did piss me off and the red mist descended.
