Funny that. Earlier this summer Inter were said to be able to get a deal for Messi.
They were probably shocked that Barca did not fancy swapping Messi for a couple of Inter rejects.

Yeah maybe. Just pointing out it's not just a case of "move players xyz on". It's not always that easy they aren't going to go just anywhere even if they are open to move.Be surprised if Aurier, Foyth and possible Gazzaninga don't want to leave. On face of it Gazzaninga is now third choice keeper. Foyth hasn't been near the first team on match day since January last year and as it stands Aurier is second choice right back and it was no secret that he wanted to leave last summer. All three of them are good enough to go and be first choice some where else if they make the right move.
Throw them out stage left? And if they don't want to leave?
Skrinier would be better.Loan swap-deal for Eriksen?
It has been one of the biggest pleasures in my Spurs supporting lifetime watching this lad develop and turn into a world class player.
He has not been good enough in the last 18 months. He knows it. We know it. The manager knows it.
Sometimes a hard reset in a career is needed and I think that time has come. I think he needs a new hone to fulfil his destiny and promise.
I’d say Lucas’ defensive work rate is second to none.I think you sell Foyth (reluctantly or maybe a loan), Gazzaniga, Aurier and then I'd let Moura go. He offers similar to what Bergwijn and Son do and if we bring defensive work rate into it then Lamela is the better option for that. As I say would rather Dele stays but there we are.

His attitude is great and I love his aggression in the tackle but it is often only for short periods after being subbed on whereas Lucas presses like a maniac for 65 minutes. Each to their own, I think Lamela is far and away the best when it comes to defensive responsibility and pressing.
There will be a place for him, but unfortunately it will be mainly on the bench which he will not be happy about.I hope he stays, lots of games to come and sure a place for him somewhere.
Genuine question... do established senior players ever return from loan spells and do really well at their parent club? Can’t think of any examples.loan works for me. If he recovers his form we can bring him back. Id select him over Moura but JM wont so he might as well get some games elsewhere.
Not to mention, would he even want to come back? Think a loan would be the end of Dele under Jose, he seems like the type that would take being told to leave very personally. Especially if he does well I don’t think he’d be back happily.Genuine question... do established senior players ever return from loan spells and do really well at their parent club? Dele problem is the celebrity lifestyle and girlfriend attention. I remember his form dipped when they temporarily broke up. Can't get his mind fully on performing in football.Jose just needs to put the fire in his belly again, if that means him getting dropped. So be it. Jose/we need the arrogant, annoying **** Alli we saw 3 years ago. Not this timid plank he's turned in to
Well he's gets dropped until he does the job he gets paid do to. It's that simple reallyDele problem is the celebrity lifestyle and girlfriend attention. I remember his form dipped when they temporarily broke up. Can't get his mind fully on performing in football.
