Let’s be honest Alli hasn’t played like this for over two years.

Really hope he can kick on now.

As I've been saying for ages. Certain players were being told to play in a way that wasn't natural for them The roles certain players were being asked to do to fit Pochs stupid diamond bollocks was holding them back. By the time he had dropped it it was too late. Confidence in his methods and much changed philosophy had gone.

All Jose has done is told him to play his game again.
Played a huge part in our first two goals and should have had at least one more assist. He should blossom under Maureen.

Jose seemed to allude to exactly this in his presser when asked about Dele. He specifically mentioned wanting to give Dele “stability from a tactical point of view”.

Liked it when Mourinho said when he has spoken this week with Dele in training, and off the pitch in their social lives, he has told him he is too good not to be in the England team, not to be winning things, not to be one of the best players in the world. Like that Mourinho has singled him out early as someone who can improve massively in a short space of time and is someone to build a team around.

Back playing where we’ve all wanted him to play and knew where he’d play best. Amazing Poch couldn’t see it.

Plus (and I don’t mean this in a bad way) Mourinho can say, look I did it, I brought him back. Probably the easiest player I. The squad to get back to his best though. Just play him in his proper position. Football isn’t rocket science sometimes.

If this is the Dele we’re going to get as a No 10, Eriksen can fuck off in January Now

Corrected for you. Should be frozen out now. Wants to leave on a free? Fine, Let's see which massive clubs want him next summer on the back of a terrible 12 months and then 8 months inactive. Maybe if he realises he is in a bad place he would take a cut price move to Juve in January.

Dele is back, you forget just how talented he is because of the pretty awful performances over the past year or two. He could be one of the best players in the world. Jose could get him there.

Amazing and glowing assessment from Mourinho on Dele. Intelligent player who did exactly as instructed after only two days of work, and played 60-65 minutes of brilliant football the way he did when impressing the world. Again, Mourinho was alluding to his job being clarifying for the player(s) their exact role, and I took it as another suggestion that Pochettino was confusing them in the end.

I agree 100% Jose is being great in that way in praising Poch for what he’s done (and rightly so) and pointing out where he’ll improve us in a palatable way to the fans and the players.
